  1. Devils advocate: he’s not eligible for the NFL window the same way Holm, etc would be so the negotiation window would likely be the first you’d ever hear of any interest
  2. Maybe he’s not as overrated as you think
  3. Shame on you for assuming. Maybe they want to pay the wrong price.
  4. No question Jeffcoat feels disrespected, but he talked about this last offseason too. Retirements been on his mind for a while and the club has to lock down the guys who are all in before they start on the flip floppers.
  5. Stupid ass article from Friesen, what else is new. Love me some Jeffcoat, but is he really that startled at the thought that his team might have other priorities when he’s the one who openly expresses how much he’s been debating retirement?
  6. It’s a ridiculous concept. If we have to be benching a guy for a third of the season to be able to afford him and maintain him, it’s not worth having him.
  7. Not necessarily but I checked, he’s not. Either way, an Iowa defender is high on my list of types I like to see in camp
  8. Wouldn’t mind that at all, got some major concerns he’s going to be a penalty machine this year if he’s a step slower and still bringing the same heavy lumber
  9. BA being back is about as notable as Bighill to me … a big meh.
  10. As of right now, I would imagine it’s going to be Parker on one corner, Holm and Nichols playing the HB spots and then another corner and a safety spot up for grabs. I don’t think we go Canadian at safety, I would assume they see Kramdi and Lawson as the starting Canadians on our D. Marquise Bridges and Travon Fuller are both guys I like, although I don’t see either one of them really being able to play safety. Fuller would be my early bet to be a standout at corner for us, very rangy player, good length. Marcus Hillman seems like a safety candidate. Don’t really know much about him, but that’s the body type and 8 sacks as a DB in one year seems … like he must’ve been playing safety against some horrible teams
  11. The last Stiggers situation was Juran Bolden, I think. Maybe Dee Alford was similar? Doesn’t come along very often. Sayles and Walker were both really good football players, not really sure what more you could’ve asked for to be honest. Sayles especially was great. Better than Stove, to be honest … he just didn’t do it in a way that stood out because he was built like a normal DT not the second coming of Jerome Haywood.
  12. I see probably only two, I’m sure they’ll likely add a veteran whether they retain Robertson Daniel or look elsewhere and then they’ve got Metchie and Carnell. But yeah, not ideal.
  13. Bennett and Kobe both back with their clubs
  14. No concerns that Toronto will be able to put together a good roster if I’m an Argos fan. Will it gel this year in time? Impossible to say. But will they have talent in camp? I don’t know why anyone would assume otherwise. Great scouts over there, especially on defence and they still have a lot of solid pieces in place. Carnell, McManis, Jones, Ceresna, Metchie, Orimolade … they’ve got the makings of a solid D for sure.
  15. If there’s anything our scouting has been especially successful with, it’s been finding players to patch holes in our OL. Genuinely not worried at all about finding a tackle replacement.
  16. This is me with Kobe Williams. Teams are going to be talking about him next year like they were talking about Pickett this year. Would like to be the team that gets him at a discount before that happens.
  17. Just give me one of Hendrix/Oakman/Christmas/Walker (preference in that order), Mason Bennett and Kobe Williams and I’d be thrilled with this off-season. And let’s not lose our entire kick cover team. Oh yeah gimme Davis2 also
  18. Trevon Tate is great but can’t see him being cost effective Check some of the other replies again lol
  19. I would have to imagine he probably got an opportunity to do something similar back home.
  20. Lol it’s all good, I just find it irritating (not you) when the Bombers have built this culture around treating their players and staff with the utmost respect for them as humans with real life stuff and families and then all of our fans want to say weird stuff that goes entirely against that just because a player makes a decision that I’m guessing the club probably had a ton of respect for.
  21. Just double checked. He’s been working with non-profits to open up health clinics in Winnipeg. Don’t think the guy was trying to hold the club hostage, just sounds like he needed a certain dollar amount to continue on with football.
