Any potential tackles out there in free agency who could potentially be cost effective options?
Trevon Tate is great but can’t see him being cost effective

Is he married to a Canuck? How else could he stay in Wpg and get a different job?
I would have to imagine he probably got an opportunity to do something similar back home.

That’s fine. If we let every fact get in the way, half of this afternoons debate wouldn’t exist. I’m not overly serious. I mean honestly I had him getting that spot so it kinda sucks he decided to call it a career.
Lol it’s all good, I just find it irritating (not you) when the Bombers have built this culture around treating their players and staff with the utmost respect for them as humans with real life stuff and families and then all of our fans want to say weird stuff that goes entirely against that just because a player makes a decision that I’m guessing the club probably had a ton of respect for.

Just double checked. He’s been working with non-profits to open up health clinics in Winnipeg. Don’t think the guy was trying to hold the club hostage, just sounds like he needed a certain dollar amount to continue on with football.

Imagine waiting a couple years then demanding more money b4 u even a starter.
Richmond: hey Kyle I want more money
Walters: drew, here’s the thing, you see that raise you want? Turn it sideways and stick it straight up your candy ass.
I hope it went similar to that then osh took the phone and told him to maybe suck it.
I think you are kind of misguided about Richmond. Pretty sure it was more of a “at this point in my life, I need this much or I can make more doing something else” more than a trying to hold the club hostage.
Pretty sure he resides in Winnipeg and his other-than-football stuff is in the medical field.

Maybe, won’t know better till later in the off season the bonus money counts against their bonus cap this year either way
Come on man, you’re better than this. There’s no maybe, Hardrick isn’t getting 350k to play football this year. The bonus is never over the value of the contract, they’ve literally never reported it that way.

Harris, 480k. Aj 200k probably. Hardrick 230k plus the signing bonus of 120. Bane 182k plus 12k bonus.
zach 600. Brady 240. Bryant 190k. Dalton 230. 1.26m vs 1.09m before bonuses. 1.15+ with bonuses for the year. Yes, we have lawler at big money. No regrets. Our group is easily twice as good as their group for 15-20% more. Plus they are out spending like drunken sailors on other guys once again.
costs Ferrari money to own a Ferrari. The riders are paying base model / year old Ferrari money for a Honda minivan.
There’s no plus the bonus. The bonus is always just a portion. Hardrick isn’t getting paid 230 plus 120.

I think they likely go rookie for that 3rd american receiver.
I agree too and as much as I’d love to see Bailey back, I also want to see him make his money and go somewhere he can be a second option. He’s capable enough to do it, I just don’t think we can give him what he deserves.

How about a little kumbaya, shall we? After that's done, we can get back to usual MBB activities like yelling about Damien Jackson and game day roster management?
Cheers gents!🍻
Only once GCn acknowledges McCaffrey and James Cook are not equal

I know exactly what his production was, you seem lost understanding that there are 5 other guys in this loop that offered similar production per carry.
If you think a bellcow averaging 6 yards a carry is similar to a bunch of guys who do it way less often for considerably less production is “similar”, you’re lost. Beyond lost.

BO actually had more carries thn Butler....
Sorry, more is what I meant. 25 more

Oh I agree...like i mentioned erlier Kevin Brown had a higher avg yards per carry, and with touches he could get here...behind a real oline and his homerun speed...he's have had huge numbers here...
His YPC was higher because he didn’t take goal line touches. I’ll do the math later.

When you are asking how his production compares to other backs I think the answer to your question is pretty obvious.
It isn’t obvious, mostly because you seem completely lost about what his production actually looked like last year
-
Just now, GCn20 said:
Sure. I think in fairness one should compare YPC, and % per number of touches to Guage effectiveness. He got fed the rock way more than anyone else, and yes he did well with those carries but he didn't lead all rushers by any significant margin that isn't directly related to his usage.
Yes he did, what are you even talking about? The only guy he didn’t have a better YPC than was Kevin Brown, who didn’t take goal line touches and is going to naturally get a bump in his YPC from that.
Also, where is this “100 more than any other back” bullshit coming from? He had 25 less carries than James Butler and over 400 more yards. Is that significant enough for you? Hell the only full time back he had 100 more than was Mills and he wasn’t even the guy the whole year and missed 3 games.

Not a fair comparable. BO had almost 100 more rushing touches than any other starting RB.
This is a serious question: so what?

I wish I knew where to find this: I can only assume he led the league in runs for a first on second down, but how many more than the next guy did Brady have

This is me with Kobe Williams. Teams are going to be talking about him next year like they were talking about Pickett this year. Would like to be the team that gets him at a discount before that happens.
