  1. I am fired all the way up
  2. Because there’s no probable on CFL injury reporters. If they were on the injury report this week, they have to be marked as questionable, doubtful or out. Which is stupid as hell. But they’re all playing.
  3. I was a huge fan of Nelson when they brought him in, I always cheer for Oregon guys. He’s produced basically nothing as a receiver, 4 catches in 2 years and he’s proven that he’s pretty injury prone which is not exactly what I’m interested in hearing when we’re already going into a game banged up at receiver. 2 years to make an impact and he’s known more for falling apart than the one big play he’s made for us on a punt return. I’m not blown away at all, not even close. Given our total lack of size, I’d much rather see Agudosi in the lineup than a guy who basically plays the exact same role as Demski, just worse.
  4. I hope so! Either way, football!
  5. I think he’s quite adequate. I’d like him if he was like our fourth or fifth option, but he’s probably REC2/3 in this lineup and that worries me a bit.
  6. I’ll preface this by saying I know Stewart and Meredith are banged up, but I really am whelmed that we had two years to improve our receiving core and we are trotting out Nelson and Bailey week 1. I’m not mad, I’m just disappointed
  7. Lawler will be one of 5 receivers in the CFL over 1000 yards this year Jefferson leads the league in sacks Oliviera outrushes Harris Desjarlais is a CFL divisional all-star, as are Lawler, Jefferson, Bryant, Nichols (Deatrick) and Collaros
  8. This is a good point I’m a changed man
  9. Lol you laugh Noeller, but Tyrell/Cadwallader/2 spots on kicking/Benson is a far cry from Petermann/Miles/Rempel, etc The back end Canadians are a question mark, but we’ve still got a lot of great talent - especially where it matters. I’m just worried, since injuries could be more commonplace this season and our depth could be tested. If we get an injury on D, we’re gonna be facing some tough questions.
  10. Our Canadians need some work lol sheesh
  11. I’m all out of sorts on what we need for roster numbers lol probably had the math wrong in my head
  12. I can’t wait until Labour Day
  13. Could end up dressing both if Harris doesn’t go, right?
  14. I don’t understand why people are so confused about the Toronto roster and how they afford it. They’ve got their money allocated in strange ways, but it’s pretty easy to see how they afford things. Their OL is pretty underwhelming and they’re not paying 200k to a running back. They’re going to be an interesting team to watch, but they’ve got all kinds of question marks and their money is so poorly allocated. No protection whatsoever for Arbuckle, but sure have fun with your 38 different star linebackers.
  15. Same. I see McKnight taking his spot real soon.
  16. I could see Nick Taylor as the odd man out, he’s 33 and really never been a full time player anywhere. Played great for us last year, but he also really only played what, 6 games? I expected Nichols to make the starting lineup, he’ll probably end up as our best DB before long. Alford is a bit of a surprise considering he’s so young and inexperienced, but I wouldn’t mind seeing him take a spot over Taylor if he’s earned it. I’m assuming based on what our roster still looks like that we’re waiting to see what the health of Darvin, Kyrie, Nelson and a few others looks like. See how quick Darby can get up to speed as well. I assumed all along that Josh Johnson would end up at SAM, so that’s still my guess. I have a feeling Kyrie might still be getting pushed by Rocquemore as well, so maybe a week in practice hashes that one out.
  17. Not too worried about Darvin, if we can’t find a couple stud receivers with two years of scouting then we’re doomed to begin with.
  18. Brett Boyko now the number 1 RT in camp for Sask LMAO
  19. It’s locked but I just wanted to use my admin powers for the first time in years to reply to you and say We aren’t affiliated with the Bombers, nor do you have the “freedom of speech” to fall back on when you’re accessing a private online forum. Take your idiotic babble somewhere else.
  20. it’s good to see that even after I’ve been gone a year and then some, Iso and TB are still healthy and annoying as ever. you love to see it. it hit me when I went to the grey cup in 2019 ... it’s easier just to be a fan of the moments and enjoy the team than worry about “well we were fourth place and made a late season surge do you really think we’re a prominent force to be reckoned with or do you think my insufferable opinion about our backup qb being unprepared for battle should go unquestioned” I drank from the Grey Cup after Andrew Harris handed it to me at a bar in downtown Calgary, surrounded by my closest friends. They could come in last place this year I really don’t care. I enjoyed it. That’s what it’s all about.
  21. I don’t think we’re gonna start a Canadian DT anyways, to be honest. I think they’ll rotate Kongbo/Hallett and maybe give Thomas some reps every now and then.
  22. If we signed Jennings, the argument from TB would be “why are we bringing him in, Ottawa only won 3 games with him, etc etc” god I missed you
  23. What’s confusing about it, I’m fully prepared for a vet or two to show up in camp and have it end up as a situation where the year off has taken its toll on them. Will it be Jefferson or Jeffcoat? No, I don’t think so. Thomas? Realistically? Yeah, that’s a fair bet in my books. I also don’t even really consider Thomas as a starter, although I guess I should have. I was thinking of Jefferson, Jeffcoat and Richardson. That being said, we still have the option and potential for a ton of continuity in the trenches, which is huge.
  24. There’s a few things being lost on the analysts that I feel like we should be paying more attention to. Won’t come up as prominently against Hamilton, since they’ve also returned the majority of their roster but our continuity + ability to coach the quirky parts of the game could lead to us absolutely taking advantage of Toronto/Calgary in weeks 2-4 as they settle in with all their new players learning new systems. Unfamiliarity with the schemes, league, staffs, etc leaves them wide open for being dismantled in an area where we always excel - special teams. May take a while to coach up the receivers or the defensive backs that are new to our roster, but guys like the Halletts .. no doubt they’ll be ready to go on special teams week 1. Next is that we’re returning almost every single piece in the trenches. Talk about age all you want, to be returning 8 of 9 starters on the OL/DL is huge and it’s unmatched league wide. Lastly, we still have a culture that lends itself well to being able to respond well to adversity. We already know the buy-in is there with our roster, these new guys should be able to take advantage of a locker room that is going to be solid enough that our new players should fit right in. No drama, no players like Banks talking about “will I play, won’t I play?”, that stands out as something that could be a big help in such a weird year.
  25. Lol stupid take. All over the place, to be honest. “too old here, not experienced enough there” What did Naylor want us to do? It basically sounds like he thinks we should’ve signed the type of player that doesn’t exist - the young unknown with a proven track record. There’s a point to be made in regards to some of our key pieces aging, but we’ve gotta trust that two years to scout has allowed our front office to find the pieces that can replace guys whose wheels fall off.
