  1. I'm a little disappointed that I got beat out for the MLB spot.... I couldn't help but notice you still need a LS and holder... It's a long season, you never know who could get bumped.
  2. is that a fat joke? Joke? No....
  3. QB - Samcanadian RB - gbill2004 REC - Mike, Jacquie, Atomic, kelownabomberfan., Noeller OL - Goalie, 17to85, Jpan85, mbrg, M.O.A.B. DL - JuranBoldenRules, Floyd, TBURGESS, Rich LB - Mr. Dee (WIL), Mr. Perfect (MAC), voodoochylde (SAM) DB - sweep the leg, The Unknown Poster, rebusrankin, SPuDS S - tracker K - Mark H. Is that a lineup or what?
  4. Only if you're watching it.
  5. From what I have heard, they will not be capping attendance on Sunday.
  6. And so that's what happened, #1 is forever cursed now. Is that what happened to Kuale?
  7. There's a Bryant Turner joke in there somewhere.
  8. Tim Cronk, long snapper and fullback who has played for the Lions and Riders. I don't particularly like him but we need a long snapper and the only alternative at the moment appears to be Fitzgerald. And he's not very good at it. There might be one or two more long-snappers coming in soon.
  9. All of the soccer games at the stadium will be at or near sold out. No chance an event of this magnitude is held at the soccer complex.
  10. 13.5 sacks and 30 TFL as an OLB in his senior year leads me to believe that Houston ran a lot of 5-2.
  11. You know who's a real hero? Hiro from "Heroes." That's a hero. Also Bono.

  13. I wouldn't call it a nightmare, that's a little extreme don't you think? Needing two of Thomas, Briggs or Sherman on the field at all times would not be good. Who knows if Newman will be anywhere close to where he was pre-injury? Briggs has big potential, and I see him as kind of a hedge on Hurl, but the other two can't handle more than a couple dozen snaps a game in the right situations. I think we might end up starting 8 Canadians for some in-game flexibility, assuming everyone is healthy. The sooner we get Louie Richardson off the roster the better too. This move probably guarantees it, we've got a good teams guy in Ivan Brown signed too who probably takes Richardson's spot directly, plus draft picks and Newman. Potentially problematic, but we also possibly have the ability of starting up to 5 Nationals on offense, so depending on who's injured, we wouldn't have to even consider this as an option. I also think you'll be surprised of how Newman could get involved in more than just ST. I do agree though that starting 8 is a good idea if we can pull it off.
  14. I was thinking the same but I think it's for two more years Possible trade? Bombers #1 and rights to Bilukidi (or Mulumba) for Lions #5 and Jabar Westerman? Why don't we get Jawaan back here too while we're at it... He was here few years back. Not good enough to be kept. He was a late season addition and hard to say how much attention we gave him at receiver during that time. It's a moot point anyways because my comment was merely tongue in cheek.

  17. Yeah! Thats him! He's fully recovered and ready for the season. He was actually asking to get back in at the end of last season from what I heard.
  18. The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announced the club has acquired International defensive back Ryan Mouton from the Stampeders, in exchange for International offensive lineman Zebrie Sanders. Mouton (5-9, 185, Hawaii, September 23, 1986 in Houston, Texas) signed with Calgary as a free agent in February, after originally joining the Stamps on Oct. 13, 2014. Mouton was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the third round (94th overall) of the 2009 National Football League draft. He played 36 games over three seasons for the Titans. He then spent time with Washington before being released in April of 2014. Both players participated in mini camp’s last month with their former teams. The Blue Bombers also today announced the release of International linebacker TraShaun Nixon.
  19. The $100k was actually offered in Booster Juice coupons, which is really better than cash because no one gets a discount at Booster Juice. Trust me.
  20. It's pretty evident that the club wants Willy to be here long term. It's understandable that some want him to go out and prove his worth this season before offering him a raise. But in a way, he already has. He survived a rough season, got pounded a lot and got up every time, and not once did you see him waver. It was his first year as a starter, and he's shown he can do some great things. Consistency comes with experience, and we'll get that consistency by showing that we have faith in his abilities as a leader, and that we are committed to working with him. I don't see it as a positive thing letting him be unsure of his status with the team stepping on the field. Getting a deal done sooner than later shows how we are confident in Drew with his job to lead this team. I'd rather have him play knowing that confidence exists than playing with a chip on his shoulder.
  21. If Walters thought Drew was worth what he's asking right off the bat, then Drew's agent isn't very good.
  22. I never said we were against the cap when I said Vega's cut may be related to a Willy extension. You're talking like you know, when in reality you have no clue what our cap situation is.Let's say Walters projects to be $300k under the cap before the season starts. A Willy extension puts him over that, so he cuts Vega to sign Willy and still allow that $300k cushion. Regardless of your thinking related to the cap, you're making it sound like one had to be done, in order to do the other.
  23. Dude, you're reading way too much into that. Good call. I'm glad for your sake, this worked out in your favour. Kudos.
