IMO Coombs would make a great DB in the CFL.

I am slowly being convinced that Lavertu may go back to school this year to finish his degree. So it he does, is he still as appealing to us?

I'll x3 the fact that this announcement did not come based on anyone from the outside coming to us to bring this to our attention. We want to maintain a good image out there, so we can attract new members and maybe gain a little bit of publicity in the process. We are getting some exposure on Twitter now, and some of the people that read our content can help spread the word by retweeting or sharing what they read with others. But it’s not going to happen if what they’re reading is riddled with insults and derogatory comments. There is nothing wrong with sharing a negative opinion on something, but sometimes things get a little carried away with the berating of others.

Maybe not but it's a lot of fun none the less. Doing it properly is half thru fun of the internet.... Please explain...

For the sake of league growth, potential and exposure, I want and hope for the Ottawa team to be run in a sustainable manner for the long run. I see no reason why it shouldn't with the right owners and business plan.

Yeah and...our new guys still have "0" PROVEN qb's (although the QB's we have now should be better, that doesn't say anything at all as it shouldn't take much at all to get better there! Release Goltz & Boltus and bam!! we're better at QB) Our O-line isn't any better at all! We lost our best Canadian. We only really have maybe 3 Canadian Starters worth anything (Watson, Greaves and...hmmm maybe Kohlert & maybe Alexander.. borderline) We are still not a good football team!! I would have said something along the same lines. This guy is not competing against players of the same caliber. He is clearly under-matched in most of those highlights. Some of those defenders were pretty weak.

Easily their best Canuck receiver (sorry Hargreaves). Should be given a decent opportunity there.

That stood out to me too. He's got a LOT of baggage ... a dad who loves sharing his opinion, some criminal history, a missing ACL ... I'm not holding my breath. On top of that, for some reason, I would also have to question his level of commitment.

Maybe at this point he doesn't want you start and would take a cushy job in a place like bc where he can stay warm Given that his current contract is particularly incentive driven, I would imagine he would like to have the opportunity to start.

I'm not sure how big of a offer BC would make. They might feel it out, but my take is that they're prepared to run with their own guys now, and wouldn't give up valuable assets to get someone like Glenn.

If Leggett can get a good handle on the CFL game in training camp, he's definitely a contender. DB is hopefully going to be a position of strength for us this year.

You should talk to a store manager at one of the LCs you frequent. They're usually able to order something if it's not found in the store.
