Our offence should have been getting warning points all season long. Touché.
-
Just to add to Rich's post above, we've decided to start enforcing the warning point system. So if guidelines from the Code of Conduct are violated by any posters, warning points will now be issued out to those in offence.

Well done sir!

I wouldn't expect anything more than an average performance from Pencer at this point. He's got to shake that rust off first.

Just show me where to sign!

Is Simmons still here? He was released last week. -

I don't know why. It's weird to me how everyone bases their impression of the offensive linemen in this league off reputation alone. Guys like Tim O'Neill, Jeff Keeping, Chris Van Zeyl, Justin Sorensen and Marc Parenteau have really stepped their game up and developed themselves into very serviceable players despite a lackluster start to their careers. On the flip side, guys like Dmitri Tsoumpas, Andrew Woodruff and Josh Bourke have seen a pretty decent drop off in play yet they're still treated like gold in the eyes of most fans. You forgot Jovon Olafioye on your second list. -
I probably would have given it to Turner, but it's really a defensive unit award this week.

I disagree. Walters is a straight forward, look him in the eye and tell the truth kind of guy. From what I know about Henoc and his family, I think that they can appreciate that type of approach. I don't think signing him will be easy....every player wants to be part of a winning team, and we have struggled this year. I don't think, however, that Walters is at a disadvantage to other GM's based on experiance. The bigger factor will be what he is able to offer. Walters should be offering right at, or just that bit more than other teams. The money thing will definitely not be an issue. Not for a ratio-breaking MLB. Selling the long term plan of the team is obvious, and I'm not that convinced that Walters can do that just yet. Walters is already voicing his skepticism, which seems telling about his confidence level.

And if your team is up by __ points at the half, what then?

Not sure if that would be a concern for me as long as we are addressing the need by way of the draft, free agency or what have you. Rome wasn't built in a day, our o-line won't be revamped in an off-season. -
Mike Kelly @coachmikekelly6 Sep Adarius Bowman and Jabari Arthur both making plays for their respective teams tonight ...go figure? Mike Kelly @coachmikekelly2 Sep In Kansas Manny Matsakis is grinning watching #Pitt run the jet sweep! Great success with it in the #CFL in 2009 How about that Lefors guy, Mike?

Appreciate the update Rich. I concur, Bisons seem to have some solid tools for a good offense. Yantz throws the ball with ease, and seems to have very little trouble with the mid to long range passes. Throws a nice deep ball.

Less than a week to go, ladies and gents. Who wants it?

Love how Markett came in untouched on the delayed blitz and got his own QB kill. He played with some fire. Oh and Ian Wild is some kind of player. He deserves a shout out.

What happened exactly? Something to do with the time on the clock?

Or Watson. My first guess was Watson. Poblah doesn't have the value yet. Poblah's value isn't going to increase sitting on the bench or dropping balls. If he gets traded, it's for his "potential" not past production. Lol....potential.

Off topic but does Buck have an invested interest in Danny's Whole Hog? Or are they just partners in a restaurant?

Re-read that again and tell me that it doesn't sound ridiculous. Injury History != Injury Future Tate when heathy has been superb... if he gets released and Goltz/Hall fall apart from this point forward (to the extent that the team doesn't feel like they can be the answer) it will be hard for whomever ends up our GM to not bite. We NEED a QB, sure Tate may be Pierce 2.0... but at least when he's hurt he is completely out and not grabbing all the first team reps all week instead of who is actually going to play. I actually don't think his injuries are particularily concerning - The dislocated shoulder thing can happen, he had surgery on it right away (which is smart, instead of trying to play through the injury and causing permanent damage). Then he breaks his forearm... completely unrelated and sounds a little unlucky. Who breaks a forearm?! (other than Glenn) This year it seems to me that his forearm injury might be related to him overtraining in an attempt to rehab after his previous injury (they've called it like Tennis elbow, which is essentially overuse) If he comes back and is quickly injured on another part of his body then I'll admit that he is probably not ever going to be reliable... at this point it seems to me that he has had two injuries and overtrained to rehab the second. Injuries "can happen" to anyone, but this just seems like he is heading down the exact same path as we've come to be familiar with. If injuries weren't a part of it, Tate is a very good QB, but he has also been behind one of the better lines in his time with the Stamps. I don't think he would be as successful here without that kind of caliber to play behind. Then when you bring in the injury factor, well how can we even consider taking a risk going in that direction again? Tate may be a good athlete and train well, but so did Jesse Lumsden. A good a player, but couldn't stay healthy enough to be consistent. -
