So 41 on our gameday roster, and by my count there was 64 on Hamitlon's.

You could probably say the same thing about last season to, and the season before that. The fact is the guys you are talking about, Matthews, Simpson, and Hall specifically, are guys that we had the same impression of as we do this year of guys like Markett, Anderson and Kennedy, amongst a few others.

Problems occur when cracks are not dealt with when they happen. There are hairline cracks that will happen all the time. The bigger ones should be treated, and properly sealed so that water can't get in and freeze, which seems to be what they are doing.

Personally, I would like to hear how well the front 4 do in getting pressure on Burris. I’d expect we won’t be doing a lot of blitzing, and these guys are playing for possible rotational spots on the d-line.

So guys and gals, lots of subplots to talk about here. Burke brings the bare minimum of a roster to Guelph, including a majority of rookies, each of whom will not be able to complain that they didn't get enough playing time. The proof will be in how they play. The first ever CFL game being played in Guelph at Alumni Field in front of a huge crowd of 13,000 spectators. That has very little to do with it IMO. It doesn't matter if you don't have rookies you still have unproven backups. Still an opportunity to evaluate the guys who don't get a lot of game reps.

I don’t find it odd at all. Burke did enough to warrant an opportunity to start fresh, and put his own trademark on the team this season. He improved the team from where it was when he took over, so that to me is a sign that he deserved a shot.

One tie, and largely skewed margin of wins vs. losses...

Only 42 men on that roster. This will be a full game for a bunch of these guys.

Given this particular instance, I would say otherwise. Lack of preparation being Burke's first game as HC, and an underwhelming gameplan is on the coaches. Poor/no execution, undisciplined penalties, and a general lack of attention/awareness, is on the players.
