  1. It might still be mostly the same system - but ZC runs it a lot differently. I mean, if it reverted back to mostly QB runs and check downs to the RB...the D would have to be very stout, and even then we might still lose.
  2. The final result will speak for itself, just like it did in 2019. Let them keep spouting garbage - and get guys like Biggie and Jeffcoat more even more fired up.
  3. It used to be great. But now it's overpriced, considering what's on their menu. You can eat at Montana's and spend about the same $$.
  4. Lol. I heard him complain about his kid's hockey practice, with a sarcastic 'thank you Canada'
  5. There, there.
  6. I remember watching him trying to 'coach up' some of the DBs during a 2019 loss to Hammy - when the explosion plays were clearly on him.
  7. Great point. I think if he hadn't retired, Matthias Goossen could be in the conversation here.
  8. He's an evolutionary miracle - just adapting to the drought this summer - should be able to pee after the next freezing rain.
  9. Or tell me to get wethered.
  10. Ban the NHL!
  11. The running game: any DC worth his salt would scheme to stop the run & force the inexperienced QB to beat the D with his arm.
  12. Poor pass pro often leads to poor throws. Not sure how anyone can say pass pro was okay, given what ZC has been getting all year.
  13. It was interesting. He randomly completed some long throws, then started throwing downfield more, but the Als adjusted and picked him off. It was, at best, a steep learning curve - not aided by a subpar OL in front of him
  14. He definitely wasn't getting the protection. And inexperienced QB, minus your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd offensive tackles His performance was disappointing, but not entirely unexpected.
  15. Not too many surprises to today. Any DC worth his salt would scheme to minimize the run and force McGuire to throw.
  16. I suspect the biggest problem is unvaxxed pockets, even if we did have 90% fully vaxxed.
  17. 84.4% fully vaxxed.
  18. That is beyond sad, and that kind of attitude is not an exception.
  19. For April, May and June of 2020 - things are mostly shut down Masks became a thing that summer, and were mandated for public places in July / August and then for grades 4 - 12 when school started
  20. My grandfather planted plenty of elm trees in his day. But now we have that bloody dutch elm disease I spend plenty of time in the bush. The wild elm trees get to a certain size and then start dying out, just like clock work But at least we still have younger elm growing. Now I see the same thing happening with ash. Big beautiful trees being destroyed by the ash beetle But so far, poplar, oak and maple appear to be as resilient as a ever.
  21. Yes, plenty of criticism is warranted when it comes to the government approach... But to say it was abysmal right from the start, is inaccurate. In the spring of 2020 when it all started - I fail to see what they could have done differently The entire province was shut down and all schools were closed. The lead doctors were dithering about masks - you couldn't expect politicians to mandate them at that point
  22. They are hinting about more restrictions - I guess we shall see. There are actually rural schools (Pine Creek School Div.) that are completely shuttered as we speak, due to outbreaks. Staff is not even able to deliver remote learning, as everything happened quickly and with little notice.
  23. Personally, I am surprised at how big of an impact the unvaccinated pockets are having. With the large urban centres mostly vaxxed, I thought MB. would fair better. Assume made an ass out of me again.
  24. Sorry about that. I spent just about a decade milking cows and raising hogs - it has only one meaning to me.
  25. They seem to have overestimated a couple of things: a) the effectiveness of vaccines in lowering case counts b) the amount of people choosing to get vaccinated
