The Environment Thread
That has impacts other than being a positive impact on climate change It will lead to a higher percentage of the population being seniors, and most of the world is not preparing for that Places like Japan are already faced with this issue

If you believe the Jets suck, twitter will reinforce that for you If you believe Covid will kill us all, twitter will reinforce that for you

^^ It will get him elected as PC leader - but it will not win any elections The prairie landslide strategy - is alive and well

Covid-19
TBH, I hadn't actually looked. I see so few people wearing them in the places I frequent (Petersfield, Selkirk), that I just assumed they were hard to get Most people wear the blue medical mask or a cloth mask

2021/22 - CFL Offseason - Non-Back-to-Back Grey Cup Champion Thread
I think we need to consider being open minded enough...to let our brains fall out.

Elon Musk to buy Twitter
According to Nahanni Fontaine, he should have spent the money on combatting climate change Maybe he should try to sell EVs...or something Considering how many other things she could have said, it's hilarious that she chose that topic

The Weather
True. And that is really not good news for the food chain.

I don't hunt either, but I think it's good that some people do. The white tails and the honkers no longer have enough predators, and have really adapted to farmland If no one hunts, then those populations will be controlled by disease epidemics or climate factors - which to an extent already happens Just one example: We saw mange run through our local coyote population the past couple winters - I saw one with almost no hair left and literally crying - at our cattle shed Being harvested by a humane hunter or trapper - would have been a much kinder fate

Covid-19
They wear mostly N95, which most of us probably can't access consistently I'm surprise how many people are still wearing just a cloth mask and nothing else - they may as well spare themselves the inconvenience

The Weather
We have high elevation - but lots of people are in trouble. The RM is going to call a state of emergency.

I recommend subscribing to A & W coupons - you get them in your inbox. Very good deals - eg. 2 teen combos for $14.99 Edited: 2 combos are now $14.99 - still under $20 for two people.

Can't argue with a Mozza burger & O rings - prices are higher than average - unless you have coupons.

No KFC fans here either, I see. Twonie Tuesdays were a necessity in my Uni days.

Yes, they have that Chester Fried Chicken - definitely decent stuff.

Never had Popeye's - is the chicken any good?

I don't live in the city, but I will try it out when I can. I also like A & W coupons, in spite of their misleading 'health' advertising. Love FG beer - our local store in Clandeboye carries it - always pick up a 6 pack with my scotch.

And the farmland - it's some of the best in the world Grain prices are sky high, and they will not be coming down

I actually like Macdonald's fries, and I know plenty of people that like them The burgers are hit and miss, but it is possible to have a good burger I would not order chicken (except nuggets for the kid) from Mc D or 7 - 11. KFC or Mary Brown is where it's at for chicken If you know of a place with lower prices where the burgers are not hit and miss, let me know where that is Food is going to get more expensive no matter where you go. Canola was as high as $23 a bushel - that's the cooking oil that all restaurants use

Their coffee is as good or better than places where you pay a lot more for it.

I honestly don't understand the complaints about McDonald's. It is what it is - I don't mind it once in a while.

Yes, salaries in Thompson are significantly higher than they are elsewhere - that would be where a large chunk of the funding is going My understanding is that stems from having a negotiations friendly board, who were formerly union members when they worked in the mines

I sit corrected. Thanks.

And I'll bet they told you 'you have paid your dues' when you got a job in Southern MB. I think it's very telling that the head office for Frontier SD is located in Winnipeg.

And with the exception of places like Thompson and Flin Flon, it just gets worse as you go further north I was also against Bill 64. And, I do not want to see anything of that ilk implemented, until we actually have a competent government
