  1. Sounds like they have low - immunization pockets. I wonder what their overall vax rate is...
  2. They must have read the Dunigan article.
  3. Like Marcel B. in Winnipeg back in the day. No matter what the struggles were, he continued to script plays where the QB needed to stay in the pocket.
  4. And I would take a tapered off Stanley Bryant, over a LONG LIST of other OL.
  5. Well...more or less... Seriously though, I would say there's nothing wrong with getting another season or two out of an effective player who's older, especially a shut down OL. Stanley Bryant is an example. Back in the day, we got another good year out of Andrew Greene.
  6. The truth is, the South west has always relied heavily on irrigation. Drought is not exactly a big departure from the norm.
  7. To be totally honest, I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner. I would say they are rolling the dice, and hoping there won't be too many problems with pockets of unvaccinated people. They need to tell us if any of the vaccinated people had severe outcomes. And if they won't give that information, then all they're doing is providing fodder for the anti-vaxxers.
  8. Hopefully the vaccines will prevent severe outcomes.
  9. My grandmother was 10 years old in 1930. Although Hutterite colonies fared better than many others, due to subsistence farming and better farming methods, it was still tough. For the rest of her life, grandma could not bear to see one scrap of food wasted - she would eat other peoples' leftovers when she did the dishes - or put them in the fridge for later. Drought is a fact of life on the prairies - it has been almost a 100 years since 1930...
  10. Sounds like we'll have something similar to SK. & AB.
  11. During the dirty thirties, some children did not see their first drop of rain until the end of the decade.
  12. There was also plenty of Nazi support in Canada. MacKenzie King was an anti - Semitic who actually spoke well of Hitler. When it came to accepting Jewish refugees, the King and his immigration minister made sure there was plenty of red tape.
  13. 19. 19 is a prime number. Let 19 stand alone If that means anything...it wasn't supposed to...
  14. And watch SK. & Ottawa vacuum them up.
  15. I love how conversations evolve around here. No, I'm not splitting this thread. 😤
  16. Yes, that would be disturbing. But it's also disturbing that contact tracers have not been delivering a consistent message.
  17. Quite frankly, I can believe it. Everything other than vaccines is 90% bull poop anyway. She's a professional & I think she could stand her ground if she really needed to. Just watch, MB will soon do the same thing. Dr. Roussin has been hinting for a while now - 'that we will have public health measures in place, but they will not be mandated or enforced.' They need to shift their focus to those pockets of vaccine hesitancy and forget about group sizes and capacity limits.
  18. I was thinking a 3 yard gain and getting clobbered by 2 - 3 linebackers. Very few backs can take punishment the way Andrew Harris can.
  19. Flanders in the flats - all night long...
  20. Symptoms of a system stretched to the max.
  21. Eastern Canada is having a rainy summer.
  22. Rich is off on a canoeing trip. Maybe shoot him a PM in a few days.
  23. Does anyone know the double vax rate of Winnipeg?
  24. Not hearing anything. Previous Interlake spikes were remote / northern.
  25. I still can't wrap my brain around this. Shut the most of the world down for the better part of a year and then some, then have Olympics in a country with an insanely low vaccine uptake.
