The situation is bad enough - overreacting to it helps no one. 1. 60% of the population now has at least 1 shot. 2. They announced today that 70% of the people in hospital have not been immunized. Were those people eligible for the shot? If so, for how long? WE DON'T KNOW. Therefore, no one can say "the people who chose not to get vaccinated are the problem." 3. Cutting 18 ICU beds was not necessary

Correct. But the higher percentage of shots don't get elevated, which is why they play that way.
-
The current style of goaltending yields the highest percentage of saves. Very few shooters can elevate the puck when they're in close - definitely not on a consistent basis. Goalies get into trouble when they go down too early - like Smith on the Stastny OT goal.
-
Hmmmm - high vaccine hesitancy in ND?
-
I listened to CJOB while splitting and stacking firewood - watched the game recap afterward - highly recommend.
-
The Stastny OT winner & both Ehlers goals tonight - long hard wristers high to the glove side. Looks like some solid film study...right there.
-
Just imagine the worship if McDavid had scored OT winner last night...they would have dedicated a shrine 5 minutes after the game.
-
Stop giving the Oilers so much credit - do not pass go - do not collect $200. 😀🤣
-
It has - and Helle has been better than Smith - especially on rebound control.
-
Stastny!

The loopholes available for air travel have been frustrating. Bring the new variants in...then shut everything down...AGAIN.

Disturbing and ignorant. It's just a matter of time till some of these anti - vax pockets are hit with an outbreak of something. Unfortunately, their children will suffer the worst of it, since most adults are actually immunized. The internet is really fuelling the growth of this crap.
-
Ridiculous defensive play on the empty netter by Wheeler. He would have probably scored with the goalie in there.
-
Many people have such a shallow understanding of freedom - it's really sad. Instead of realizing that our freedoms should make us better humans - they just see them as the right to do whatever they want.
-
Encouraging and not surprising - kids have been greatly impacted by the restrictions.
-
🤣 I also have my limits...on that front...
-
There are many options. I know people who got one at the Local No Frills after grocery shopping - without an appointment. They hadn't used up all their doses for the day.
-
I could not possibly agree more. At this point, there are so many people who find the restrictions pointless, the government may as well just wait until vaxxing results kick in. Unless they believe another round of code red (esp. closing schools) will motivate more people to get jabbed.
-
That has been the problem with these restrictions from day 1. Same thing with not being able to have someone in your home, but a beer with the same person down at the pub, no problem. If they have data that shows one having more transmission than the other, then they need to make that public.
-
Then you are 100% correct. There is, in my opinion, no real interest in completely stopping covid - but they can't be seen as doing nothing.
-
They did a complete shutdown for 2 months when it all started. It was down to almost 0 cases, but then came back with a vengeance in summer and especially fall. All that spring lockdown did was delay the inevitable.

Gotta stroke the thoroughbreds - rather than kick them around like jackasses.
-
Also, no organized sports for all schools - only walks or runs in the community.

And the North is finally stable again.
