Maybe he was saving it all for when it counted. It was quite noticeable that BLM and his receivers were often not on the same page, Jorden in particular. On two of those picks, he was definitely throwing the ball to a spot but the receiver turned the other way. Also, he is usually very good at low throws where his receiver go down to get them and only they can catch them. Today he was skipping those off the turf, often because of pressure or disruption. I thought our DL was underrated today.

The game that Montreal lost today, is the kind of game that the Bombers used to lose. Gritty, hard fought game, with some good moments, but critical mistakes and just not quite getting it done in the end. The Montreal team today reminded me very much of the Bombers in the recent past.

The first half? When BLM had something like 65 yards passing? Son, that don't happen when a DL has zero push -

They did and forced some hurried throws. The key is to get push when it matters. -

And a potential passing attack - some nice deep shots connected today - almost 200 yards passing. -

1. DBs - a much maligned group that STEPPED UP. 2. QBs - incredible 3. Drake Nevis - some big plays and the middle was messed up all day. HH - Richie Hall -
Some interesting implications for the Bombers: 1. Eric Rogers is obviously a big loss. Kamar Jorden is a scary combination of speed and hands, with a nose for the end zone on deep passes - hopefully the Bombers' secondary has done some prep for him. 2. Having Derek Dennis (starting LT) back is huge - Jefferson & Co. will need a little extra push to get through to BLM. I wonder how much the Stamps will run the ball? After much speculation at practice this week, slotback Kamar Jorden makes his much anticipated return to the lineup and will start for the Stampeders in the Western Semi-Final. Receiver Eric Rogers will not dress on Sunday after missing practice this week. The veteran receiver is out a second straight game. On defence, the Stamps get a few key pieces back in the lineup, as safety Royce Metchie, cornerback Tre Roberson and middle linebacker Cory Greenwood are slated to start. Offensive lineman Derek Dennis also slots in along with QB Montell Cozart, who is listed as the team’s third-stringer behind Bo Levi Mitchell and Nick Arbuckle. - cfl.ca

Just to shift things a bit: this is going to be HUGE tomorrow. Medlock's punting skills and the team's success on returns vs. Calgary, are a couple of aces in the hole that no one has talked about very much.

But there are rules about collusion, or at least an acceptable standard of ethics.

I predict O'Shea stays in Winnipeg and promotes Glen Young to DC OC I'm less sure about

They weren’t bringing in a QB either...

Indeed. Watching those two Calgary games again - the options BLM has when he's surveying the field are truly impressive.

Didn’t say that, I said they had good coffee.

I couldn’t possibly agree more, and awful coffee too. McDonald’s is in the same price range and has much better coffee - it’s not even close.

The Edmonton blitz where Harker got creamed yesterday - is something not seen much ‘round these parts.
-
True. Usually the first place team is head and shoulders above the others, which is why they most often win the GC. But with the parity this year, first place could very well be less of an advantage.

It could cost us the chance to have Streveler as a 1 - 2 punch with Collaros. Another week of recovery could have been huge. Not to mention key guys like Hardrick who have been playing through injuries.
-
The Stamps looked ordinary and uninterested - no way they win that game with Reilly behind centre.
-
Nice 40 yard completion whilst getting creamed.

When he published his thoughts on freedom ‘Von der freiheit eines Christen Menschen’ he got a little more than he bargained for - it led to the 1525 Peasants’ Revolt.

Today, October 31, 2019 - is the 502nd anniversary of Martin Luther posting his 95 theses on the castle door at Wittenberg. Whether you are religious or not, his actions changed the world profoundly. It was the beginning of the end of the corrupt connection between church and state, and probably paved the way for a freer society. It is a pillar of Western Civilization.

I don't have a problem with a carbon tax per se - but I do have a problem with a carbon tax when plastics are still out of control, recycling is abysmal, and tree planting has not even started. They put lipstick on the pig, but the pig still stinks.

False. In Walby's heyday doing colour for CBC, message boards were not all that common.
-
How Walby has never been employed by CJOB in some capacity, is beyond me.
