I agree, it is a red herring. But somehow we always move on to newer, shinier ideas - without completely considering all the angles or having all the solutions.
Another example: the cabs and sleepers of semis are made of fibre glass - plenty of those are buried in landfill sites.
(Can't take player X - some other team will over pay him in a few years)
Retirements and losses via free agency should really be considered 'good picks.'
If you will pardon the interruption - how are you planning to safely dispose of or recycle the fibre glass when your windmill blades are at the end of their life?

I 100% agree that climate change needs to be dealt with. But the oil industry has an 'orphan well' problem - how long until renewables have an orphan windmill blade and/or a solar panel problem?

I'm not so sure about the price not going down. Friends in Alberta can get better deals than I can - all depends on the product
They also have more size options that you do not see here. Eg. a greater variety of larger bottles available
