  1. Ok then. Somehow you don't know or can't accept that both extremes of the political spectrum are one and the same. I'll move on - it was pointless.
  2. I know about that. When you go the extreme right or the extreme left, you get something like The German Labour Front or Russian Communism. I don't have a problem saying that Nazi Germany was an extreme form of socialism - because it was. But Hitler's policies are also found on the extreme right - fascism. The political spectrum is really a circle.
  3. And Dougie was out - guys like Oost were getting owned in the middle. Sorta like when Jake Thomas plays every down - only worse.
  4. KO's in Headingley - best soft ice cream in MB. But I'll go to any place that serves blue licorice - just cannot buy that stuff in bulk anywhere.
  5. I'm pretty sure Mr. Brown was injured most of that year. Teams had their way with our interior DL as a result - the results were not to be remembered.
  6. This is probably pointless, but I'll try anyway: To put it simply, if you go all the way to the far left, you get complete government control. When you go to all the way to the far right, you get complete corporate control, enabled by government. Surely you're aware of corporations that benefited from and aided the Nazi regime? https://allthatsinteresting.com/major-brands-nazi-collaborators This is not ignorance - it's the way the political spectrum works. No matter who you are, what you believe and which politics you lean towards - extremism and fundamentalism are dangerous beasts.
  7. Mine is easy: 50. The NFL - totally done with that league 40. MLB - just completely stupid (all teams are equal, but some are more equal than others) 10. Any hockey that isn't playoff hockey (I have a faint interest in Jets' regular season) 0. NBA - have never cared about it at all
  8. One and the same. http://www.rndpanthers.com/kenney/civicis10/unitone/4Unit1ChallengeGovernment.pdf
  9. You can pity sake all you like - the far right and far left are the same thing.
  10. If we view your two statements together: "if everyone just worked harder, we wouldn't need any of that." The developed world has been there, done that - it was called 'The Industrial Revolution.' Most of the population worked their asses off, and it got most of them absolutely nowhere. The rich simply got richer on the backs of the poor. Things are pretty messed up on the political right these days, and some us get the sense that they are working towards more of the above. Just my 0.02
  11. Citing the most extreme examples - very well done. Hint: The system that ruled Nazi Germany provided few if any opportunities to get out of poverty. Well - unless you include to killing (or planning to kill) the people of eastern Europe so Germans could take over their farms. For reference: lebensraum When you go the extremes - the right and the left are essentially the same.
  12. In rural areas you will often have pockets of small classes - 8 to 12 students. A 19.8 average means there are high numbers in the core areas - 30 to 45 students. Highschool teachers most often bear the brunt of that.
  13. Even though they are averaging 19.8 students per teacher in Ontario. http://www.edu.gov.on.ca/eng/educationfacts.html
  14. It would be a daft party.
  15. I guess now Jennings can play duck & check without rattling off 15 second snap counts first.
  16. I wish you were right. If you were, something would have been done by now.
  17. Personally, I don’t believe any Canadian government is going to build a pipeline. Harper might have, but not any of the current leaders.
  18. I partly agree - but how was anyone going to save 100 000 jobs in Alberta?
  19. I thought that a few weeks ago - but it’s looking more and more like she’s just an ethical person. If she runs again as an independent, her constituents bloody well better vote her back in.
  20. Cameras can be lethal... A study found in a 7-year period, 259 people worldwide died while taking selfies. More than 70 percent were men, who researchers said took more risks to get a dramatic shot. Tech giants have promoted a culture of selfies and social media is full of daring photos taken at great risk. The rugged 277-mile-long Grand Canyon makes safety rails impossible in many areas. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/grand-canyon-tourist-falls-to-his-death-while-taking-photos-2019-03-29/
  21. She stays because the optics of Trudeau forcing her out would probably be the final nail in the Liberal coffin.
  22. Some pretty damning testimony has come to light today - the fall out / results will be interesting indeed...
  23. Which we will not compromise - just hold the bag till the commissioner gets back...
  24. If it’s going to be the Andrew Harris show again, they might as well start 7 nationals on O.
