  2. The thinking by many that this should be ignored because SCN Lavolin has been around for a long time and 'the Conservatives did it too' really irks me. I don't give a rip if it's been going on since John A's Pacific Scandal, it has come to light because someone did the right thing for a change, and should be treated as such. And the plot thickens: https://buffalochronicle.com/2019/02/27/trudeau-still-wont-let-wilson-raybould-talk-about-bmo-kinder-morgan-or-brison-at-house-hearings/?fbclid=IwAR1O_ws1cWlxrtpqB6lsf1o5DQLu1Jf0E9szg_q-pzQGAgaGKAB31CXotAk When it became apparent that Wilson-Raybould would be unwilling to offer a deferred prosecution agreement to BMO and other worried corporate actors, on grounds similar to her refusal to offer such an agreement to SNC Lavalin, Trudeau was terrified that the scandal could take down his government. By late December, he became determined to remove Wilson-Raybould at all costs. Trudeau’s now infamous cabinet shuffle was announced on January 10, and by February 14 Brison was hired by BMO Capital Markets as Vice Chairman of the firm’s investment banking business. Opposition committee members want Trudeau’s former Principal Secretary, Gerald Butts, who is rumored to have played a role in arranging Brison’s ‘soft-landing’, to testify as well.
  3. Schitt’s Creek was bound to find this thread eventually...
  4. Nothing to it. Just block testimony and say you understood things differently.
  5. The Butts, believed to be extinct, has been spotted still sneaking about the halls of parliament, gnawing on the fabric of democracy. For further information, please direct your inquiries to the ''Flat Earth Society'.
  6. Bernier looks and sounds like an absolute idiot at times.
  7. Whoa - not so fast. Those companies are complaining because they also own refineries - thus they were still turning a handsome profit in spite of the low crude prices. According to this article, it looks like the markets will eventually adjust and stabilize. https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/husky-energy-alberta-secondary-market-1.5034121

  9. No - you need to inform yourself before commenting.
  10. How do you fairly tax pollution?
  11. C'mon man - don't leave us hanging like this...
  12. Less than an hour’s drive from the Canalta Hotel (North -West Selkirk) to IGF.
  13. I know it was partially injury related and it may be a shade off topic - but Chad Pennington certainly was not known for having a long ball.
  14. In their haylofts - little Grey Cup on the prairie
  15. Precisely. According to him, BC overpaid for Chungh but Loffler was the best national. Poor logic.
  16. Taylor Loffler was the best National FA?
  17. Are my sweat pants comfy if I don’t like this? Asking for a friend.
  18. I feel like this could be a good thread. I'm at a loss as to why relevant information can just be dismissed I feel like people can learn something from this thread - if they read most of what is posted with an open mind I'm going to lock it and leave it locked - there is no place left for this discussion to go
  19. Quite a discrepancy in pay across the country - seems the highest paid dentists are in Saskatchewan https://www.livingin-canada.com/salaries-for-dentists.html Feel free to draw your own metaphorical conclusions...
  20. She's woman, she's Aboriginal, and she did what an open and accountable government should do collectively. Not that it should surprise anyone - but handling the situation the way they did - is the exact opposite of the message that was given after the 2015 election Quite frankly, it serves Trudeau and the Liberals just exactly right.
  21. Nope, you can't. He obviously fell on the sword for Trudeau - they have to give him something to keep him quiet - dangle a carrot
  22. I'm sure Butts will continue to work behind the scenes, advising from afar.
  23. They'll convince everyone that the offense really is pulling its weight...
  24. In terms of tackles our leading DE had 31, so I’m not following your logic. Unless your front 4 has to get more tackles because your MLB only got 40.
  25. 21 tackles - that pretty darn good for a Defensive End. But I’m curious about the way you assess your DL - don’t you think it’s more about getting consistent pressure and keeping contain?
