  1. What a lousy game 7. Seems everytime I decide to watch a game these playoffs...it's lather, rinse, repeat.
  2. If they want Harris to have a chance...they should be starting 3 Americans.
  3. Who would you say was more at fault? The QB or the coach?
  4. I agree. I appreciate people who know more about a subject than I do, but I've learned to never put anyone on a pedestal, we're all human at the end of the day. We have to put up with each others' faults, limitations and rough edges - they aren't going away - people are who they are. The one thing that I have a problem with - is when people pretend to be something they aren't - or claim to have knowledge or understanding that they don't really have.
  5. The key Canadian positions. Seems we'll have a solid crew of brawlers again this year. Can't be overstated.
  6. Having receivers catch while running...would have been a good start.
  7. If we could discuss football in this thread...that would be ideal.
  8. Yep, the Sports Show is worth a listen, most nights.
  9. So hard to find good help these days.
  10. He's saying the 2 leagues differ.
  11. Years ago in the freep, Ed Tait used to analyze a different position every day.
  12. Seems you can't count the Oilers out this year.
  13. Argos have had good recruiting for years. They were among the first teams to start more Americans on their OL. Due to Canadians like O'Shea on D - IIRC
  14. 1/2" - 1" of rain should have put a good dent in those wild fires.
  15. It hasn't been much different the past two seasons. When the O is off & the D needs to pick up the slack and make some stops...they usually don't. As far as I'm concerned, the only good games from the D happened when the Jeffs were able to crank it up to another level. The West final was one of those games.
  16. The english teacher in me...only a single o required here
  17. Southern MB. was basically 'saved' by overcast skies from the forest fires.
  18. One last thing, then I'll leave this alone. I had not planned to wade in at all. There are times when you can debate a subject until the end of time, and no one changes their mind. This is a rhetorical question: have you ever debated with someone who believes the earth is flat? I have.
  19. Some views are not debateable, they are simply incorrect.
  20. He's responding to a discussion that's based entirely on certain people voicing their incorrect opinions.
  21. Have you actually read what the two women wrote? Kristina Costabile even said she "love this league and appreciates how much the safety of women in it is taken seriously." They were both specifically criticizing Pinball Clemons for letting Kelly practice - not so much the league as a whole. And he is no longer practicing, so it appears the league agrees with their comments. And no, fining someone for making a comment on which you took affirmative action...would not be equitable
  22. I don't know if you're stirring the pot or if you really believe that - but the answer is simple No, people are not entitled to push far fetched beliefs and opinions on others - there are limits to far how far freedom and speech and opinion can be taken - and it would be an absolute disaster if there weren't If you need an example - Google James Keegstra
  23. Things have gotten...interesting...
