  1. No, the biggest misconception is that it needs to be one or the other. At some point I would like to see I would what Willy can do behind the revamped OL - that doesn't make me wrong and it doesn't mean I believe in some mythical 180
  2. 6 of one or half a dozen of the other
  3. It'd be a miracle if we beat Calgary, but our D seems to match up well against the Esks O
  4. Should be able to beat the Argos without Ray and give the Andrew Harris the time recoup. Man - can't believe we're actually having these conversations...
  5. Great game - with both Reilly and Mitchell grinding it out under pressure. Odell Willis has taken costly penalties over the years, but this could be the most costly one yet. In case you missed it, he was offside, giving Mitchell another shot at a 2 point convert in OT. Richie Hall better check the film - Esks were getting pretty good pressure on Mitchell.
  6. TD's in garbage time to pad stats and make the score respectable - we've been down this road.
  7. I can't remember the year, but one season he was absolutely heroic for the Esks, playing behind a shoddy OL. IIRC he threw for 5000 yards that year.
  8. Yep, pure talent; no special effects needed. Good harmony that isn't manufactured is becoming almost a thing of the past.
  9. Of course not - the commish will make sure they're fired.
  10. Maybe it's just me - but those two things were meant to be enjoyed separately
  11. Always looking like he was chewing on a deodorant stick
  12. We always get Iso & 17to85's 0.02 on the Stamps - could use a homer though
  13. Unless Toronto has a Travis Bond clone or two waiting in the wings - there will be a crossover. Until they can give Ray better protection the playoffs are out of sight for them.
  14. To answer the question: no However, there is no doubt that opposing D's used softer coverage, dropped back deeper and gave up short to medium passes more readily when they had a solid lead on the Bombers. Would they do the same thing for most of the final quarter or even the half against Collaros or Mitchell? Probably not - because there is a greater chance it would bite them in the butt. Let's call a spade a spade. Most of Drew Willy's yard were garbage yards. If they weren't, he would still be the Bombers' starting QB.
  15. Exactly. There have been several teams in recent history who turned things around quickly - as long as they had a decent QB and some core Canadians to build around.
  16. Milt & Khari mostly connected on basic and/or ad lib plays that no one could stop. There wasn't always a complicated chess match based on the D
  17. You nailed it - after the fur trade era, about 130 - 140 years ago
  18. In the fur trade era, yes. In the settlement / farming era, no. The NWMP clamped down on gun - toting, whiskey trading and a host of other problems
  19. They definitely outsmarted themselves with the running game.
  20. IMO playoff hockey got better when the NHL started calling penalties in OT - time of game shouldn't matter
  21. The truth is, Durant is still a good QB. With some good scouting the Riders could be a decent team next year.
  22. I predict Moe Leggett has studied some more film and has another route sniffed out for a pick 6
  23. And even that doesn't happen for an entire game, due to necessary adjustments.
  24. I don't play Madden or any other video game. If you can give an example of a D that plays prevent for an entire game, I'll be more than happy to listen.
