A few stats for the Riders' O" Offensive points per game: 27.8 (ranked 3rd) Net Offense: 370 yards / game (ranked 7th) Plays from scrimmage: 55.5 / game (ranked 7th) QB pressures given up: 42 (ranked 3rd) Time of Possession: 30:18 (ranked 5th) Interceptions thrown: 8 (ranked 7th) Completion %: 70.2 (ranked 2nd) So, there are a few things one can conclude here: 1. Getting a lot of pressure on Glenn is unlikely. However, their pressures allowed extrapolated over 9 games puts them at 48, significantly more than the Bombers have given up. 2. The Riders rank quite high in points scored, but lower in other offensive categories (net offense; time of possession) it looks like a significant amount of scoring after turnovers by the D. 3. Glenn's completion percentage shows some good efficiency, but one cannot ignore 8 interceptions, an average of one per game. 4. Curious stat: despite being ranked 2nd best for the least two & outs - they are among the lowest in plays from scrimmage per game.

He is actually making some good points - no need to dismiss them just because he's using words like debatable.

The red zone productivity looks like something that can be adjusted and improved. Of the issues the D has with run-stopping at critical times - I cannot say as much.

Darvin Adams dropped two touchdown passes - I jinxed him.

Als D still got game - Als running attack amping up again.

You can tune in once a week and find them still on the same topics.

There are certainly other options but I guess the coaches feel there would be even more drop off than there is at MLB. One alternative would be Thomas / Corney platooning at DT, which is already happening but not every snap, that's essentially the 8th national. But if they feel Hurl at MLB is a better option, then so be it. It's certainly a great thing that they can start 3 dominant Americans on the OL. I, for one, am glad that position is finally not being sacrificed. In fact, I remember people saying the same things about the ratio when the OL was struggling last year and the year before. They found a way to insert Bond and the rest is history.

How those guys don't get sick and tired of hockey / Jets talk is beyond me.

I've noticed he comes off in certain passing situations, when they add an extra DB. Thomas being on the field is what allows them to do that.

I've been thinking for a while that they may increase the reps for Thomas and maybe decrease for Hurl - be interesting to see how that plays out.

It looks like they're starting 8 Canadians to keep their options open - looks like guys are more banged up than they're letting on.
