Not per se, but I'm closely connected to the guys out in the fields. I help with making hay, vegetable harvest, yard work, etc.

And some of it is legitimate. For example, the big cities carry most of the political clout. There are 'paved' roads in rural MB. that wash out right down to the gravel, and don't get fixed for half a year. Rural people 'put up and shut up' more than many realize.

If you look at the last three games: 1. The Riders are a team that matches up well against the Bombers. In particular, their Offense is well designed to take what a Defense like ours gives them. However, a few less mistakes in those Rider games, and we win in spite of their advantages. 2. Against B.C., the shallow depth of this team was exposed. It was clearly shown that the Bombers can't compete very well with so many starters in the sick bay. But the game was close and our boys were fighting a good fight until Willy went down. IMO, with fewer errors and turnovers they would have 2 wins against the Riders. Mistake free football is what it will take to win one or two games without Willy. But if we keep snapping over the punter's head, fumbling at critical times, costly drops from receivers, giving up long kick returns etc. etc. etc. we'll be hard pressed to win even with Willy behind centre. Will they get some of the other starters back? Can they limit mistakes in spite of playing with a depleted line up? Just my 0.02

Assholes like Migs could easily come here. Everyone should be lucky he hasn't because he is a hell of a lot worse than me or franc. And if Rider fans (or anyone for that matter) come here to do nothing but troll, they are easily banned. We've already banned a few. Fans who want to come here and have a football discussion are more then welcome. The problem with Migs though, is that he is very sneaky. When he first posts, you don't expect him to be a troll. He tries to lure people into thinking he's a good guy when he really isn't. Oh I see. He is smarter then our whole moderator team and we would never catch on. Let alone the fact that the moderator team here has been moderating for years and years and years and and knows Migs quite well (in terms of forum posting, not personally) I know him personally in terms of posting... Slow down there bud, there's no HATE for O'Shea. I think most of us are in agreement that he's brought an incredible sea-change to the Bombers. That's not to say he's perfect or doesn't make mistakes. Fans questioning or complaining about a call they don't agree with isn't hate. I sure as hell hope we don't fall into another IMWT crapfest, O'Shea ain't perfect but he's best breath of fresh air we've had here in quite a while. And there's no need to call fans morons who disagree sometimes with his judgement. Totally agree with you. But too much of that provides fodder for the negatrons....who have typing Diarrhea after a loss at the best of times.

C'mon Al - I understand the disappointment but what in the world did you expect? I think Etch actually went conservative today and that's the main reason the bombers hung in like they did. Bomber d just made a couple more mistakes than Rider d and special teams. O'Shea is getting some great value out of hobo like personnel. Guys who try to rip pigskin vs. wrapping the ball carrier. They can talk all they want about correcting the deficiency but its more inferior personnel that aren't able to execute techniques they understand. Just can't do it. Bomber o-line actually did well today (some good run-blocking, average pass blocking) but you could see they're not near the level of the rider o-line who were nullifying our strongest rushers one on one. Henny Muamba would be a godsend in that bomber d. He actually has the instincts, talent and speed to cut thru sewage and get to the ball. Kuale was just tucked behind the arse of one of his d-linemen. If O'Shea deserves scolding for one particular decision its the one to roster Kuale. He's not a difference-maker. C'mon Nate. We went toe to toe with one of the better teams in the league. The Bombers have weaknesses, but so do the Riders.

Receivers, especially slots, being offside is a regular 'non-call' in the CFL. If the Bombers win this game, no one is talking about receivers being offside.

Why assume the Riders didn't make adjustments after the first TD drive?

The run game will need to at least be somewhat of a threat. Otherwise Chick and Co. will absolutely kill the OL in pass protection.

I've noticed that too. Maybe it's due to the incompetence of their commentators. I think it's americanization of all their broadcasts. American sports are all about hype hype and more hype and I think TSN is jumping on that bandwagon. I hate it. The sport is good enough to stand on it's own without the artificial hype. And when the guy they're hyping has a bad game...it just gets even more ridiculous.

They could also beat a team that has first place wrapped up.
