They'll definitely be forthcoming - in this thread

Get under the goalie's skin... Boston goalie wasn't focussed at all, on that tying goal
-
It's like that old punchline: 'The captain was sober today.'

The talent is mostly there with that team, but the attitude is not. In all reality, most teams would be in trouble without their number one (25 - 28 min) Dman. And he was one of the players who brought his game every night. I don't know if a complete blow up is the answer - but some players need to go - for sure. -
The thought of 15 of them is an absolute punch in the stomach.
-
That's gold WL, gold 😆
-
If that is true, then what the PCs chose to do in this situation, makes absolutely 0 sense Unless they don't know about it
-
Godspeed with your recovery, Speed.

It's beyond strange. He said ALOT in question period when it first happened.

It's pretty simple - they don't have much of chance with Morrissey out - but they could at least show up. -
I have researched plenty, and I teach gr. 11 Canadian History - you would lose your farm: Wilfred Laurier, Mackenzie King, Tommy Douglas - just off the top of my head Anti-semitism, eugenics, Etc.
-
All our political parties have those things in their history. And not all PCs are bad people.

Exhibit A: In early 90's the 7% GST replaced the 13.5% Manufacturers Tax - generating more $$ for government coffers But even with the increased revenue, the Chretien Liberals still needed to slash transfer payments, in order to be in the black
-
Not a surprise that several points of route 90 are on the list Somewhat surprised to see none of the McPhillips intersections on there
-
I was expecting that!

When it comes to which government has had more deficit spending, there is not a whole lot choose from Chretien / Martin reduced the government debt, Harper kept it about the same with slight increases, but it spiked during Trudeau's tenure But the greatest increases in Canadian government debt per person happened during the two world wars HISTORICAL CONTEXT MATTERS https://www.fraserinstitute.org/sites/default/files/examining-federal-debt-in-canada-by-prime-ministers-since-confederation-2022.pdf For example, when you factor in population growth, the current spike in government debt is actually not that much - the total debt was approx. $47 000 per person by the end of 2022 (see p. 8 of the link)
-
A large portion of the deficit spending was due to Covid. Did they overspend on that? Probably. But it's not like they could just do nothing. Even if they hadn't closed work places, most of the rest of the world did Canada's economy would have slowed down - regardless of any approach that our governments took (or didn't take)
-
Actually reminds me of the kind of Premier Gary Doer was.
-
Oiiiii. MB will be interesting as well - it's going to be close.

The Liberals are starting to fire back about the carbon tax Said in question period today: "Conservatives can either get on board with climate change mitigation measures - or they will stay in opposition." I thought for a second I was reading a post by @Wideleft
-
Every government either cuts taxes or gives tax credits - they all do it Also, Conservatives and Liberals have both introduced new taxes - they both do it Based on past history and also on rhetoric from certain western provinces - I assume a Conservative government would reduce transfers to the provinces There are not that many other expenses they can cut, that would make that big of a difference I agree strongly with the current government's approach to transfer payments - with Manitoba receiving an additional $1 billion dollars plus each year I can't imagine what our health care would look like - if Trudeau had not increased those transfers again, after Harper cut them
-
That's fair. There is much that we continue to work on from within - change takes time I can tell you that it is certainly far better than it once was My wife and I actually fostered and adopted a child through CFS, thus we had to put all of our cards on the table They did have many questions, but in end, we were able to proceed
-
That's just it. Many of us do not weaponize our spirituality. My people certainly don't
-
I agree with that. The Bible is not exclusively the word of God - that's pretty obvious if you read all of it I agree that fundamentalism is dangerous, and that personal beliefs need to separated from government In fact, many of my ancestors suffered and died - due to protesting and demanding the separation of church and state
