I haven't been able to make sense of any of those election interference allegations Trudeau deflections and Pollievere snide marks - are mostly adding more mud to the water
-
Harper was actually competent at working with the other opposition parties. PP just has no idea how to go about it.
-
The 2011 election was unique and very unlikely to be repeated A very weak Liberal party and strength of Jack Layton leading the NDP No disrespect to Singh or Mulcair, but they are not of Layton's calibre and never will be We had the NDP not only form the official opposition, but also split the vote in ridings that usually go to the Liberals 4 years later, it was obvious that people were ready to have the Liberals in power again The current NDP are not going to do for Pollievere what they did for Harper Even if they wanted to, I doubt PP is savvy enough to work with them

You have wonder what kind of staff he has working for him. It was completely predictable that this would happen.

Still recall Mulroney's response to Harper's GST cut. "Good politics but bad policy."

That's fair. I'm referring to the issues the Als OL had, circa '07-'08 -

I agree with that assessment. Our DL of that era feasted on those guys regularly I still remember Tom Canada sacking Calvillo on a 2 point convert attempt - to end the game -

Ok, that makes sense, thanks. Because, under Doer, that was one of the best provincial governments we have had Also, I am now taking some of the stuff my former MLA posts with a grain of salt, perhaps the whole shaker
-
I can't help finding that odd, considering that Selinger was Doer's finance minister. They also had people like Bjornson and Ashton, who had been there long term. I guess if you're dysfunctional as a group, experience doesn't mean as much
-
Him being dismayed does not amount to him having an influence. The carbon tax was going to be implemented, no matter what any premier did.

Booch hyperbole - with numerous appearances by Craig Dicklesson -
Yes, I know of someone who quit their civil service job because of it It's very interesting to see former NDP MLAs defend their group (especially Selinger) on social media But, as you say, with Harper controlling the purse strings, they had limited $$ to work with
-
I am curious about this. I see few similarities between Singh's school of thought (I hear plenty of it in QP) and the way provincial NDP governments do business.
-
Wait a minute - what happened to the left wing echo chamber? 😀
-
You're not wrong. But I don't want any part of the right wing politics right now Based on the stuff that PP spouts on an almost daily basis - we don't need him or his ilk running this country

https://vancouver.citynews.ca/2023/03/14/poilievre-lawsuit-big-pharma-opioid-crisis/ Pollievere plans on being a very busy PM Latest: he's going to sue Big Pharma, in order to raise funds - which HE will use to fight the opiod crisis I mean, he could save time and just start the lawsuit immediately (sarcasm)
-
I am just surprised to hear similar rhetoric from Singh and the NDP (public inquiry, cover up, blah, blah, blah) Their points in QP are not much different from the Conservative talking points And yes, both parties must be aware that QP is not a place where such questions can legally be answered
