It could've been a bloody Saturday.

Best not strike anything, on the way in.

He was not fired, he was simply before his time and misunderstood. He is the Nikola Tesla of the CFL. lmao.

Guy is so tanked, he forgot he was a punter.

This team is going to have to look a whole lot different in some very key areas to get us into the 2025 Grey Cup.

Right now, there are no situations he can walk into (unless Calgary, Toronto, Hamilton become options) where he can be fairly confident of being the starter and having even a decent OL. I only list TO in the small chance that Kelly bolted for the NFL. Edmonton, Riders, and Ottawa all have terrible offences and all mainly because their OL's suck.

Absolutely. Will never forget his stellar pass defense in the 2021 GC. I don't think we win without him.

That breakup on the goal line at the end of regulation will live in infamy.

Brown is somewhat proven with the exact same oline...exact same group of receivers (for most part) the exact same coaches and environment his whole career...and basically the exact same system his whole time in the CFL ...he has proven really nothing other than at times looks pretty comfortable running the only thing he has known in the CFL...that's a big risk...especially going to a team that could be littered with unknowns and sub par talent.
He's gonna get his tires kicked but a 400k and beyond contract ..is probably pretty unlikely...and hitching a teams fortunes to him..and basically having nobody behind him is a huge risk...for the team and for him
I also not 100 percent sold on him as the heir apparent...or necessarily a future star ripping teams a new one game in and game out and stealing wins with his play..

Sounds like exactly what the RedBlacks would do. They'll destroy him like they destroyed Dustin Crum... The RedBlacks, where qbs careers go to die.

I watched the 1957 NFL Championship in full on YouTube last week. It's hard to believe the Detroit Lions haven't won an NFL Championship or Super Bowl in 66 seasons. The Lions took it to the Cleveland Browns 59-14 in that game. QB Tobin Rote threw 4 td passes that game. Rote would eventually make it up to the CFL in 1960 & played two seasons for the Argos setting all kinds of CFL & Argos passing records. He'd leave after the 1961 season & sign with the AFL's san Diego Chargers. He'd finish his career in 1963 with the Chargers.

It appears fairly certain (baring injury) that Collaros will be playing in Winnipeg until his contract is up. Given this team's history at the QB position, I don't see how anyone can be firmly on side with letting him go.
I mean, you've probably got an eye on the future, and that's fine. But it's pretty safe to say that the Bombers are focused on winning a GC at home, in 2025. ZC gives them the best chance to do that.
He's had some bad games, some of which were unfortunately Grey Cups. But that's going to happen no matter who you have behind centre. I think we have the talent on the OL - to get back to kind of protection he was getting when he first came to Winnipeg. The brain thrust needs to start the players who can make that happen.
If you're in the position of several other teams around the league, then you absolutely go with a guy like Brown. In Winnipeg, you play the safe card and go with the experienced vet.

They must have an Ambrosie clone down there.
