I think anyone could see that the Riders will go as far as Harris can take them. He is a good QB WHEN HEALTHY....and there is the rub. The guy is 40 years old and the chances of him finishing this season have got to be pretty low. He has been a faberge egg over the past several years and that was always going to be the Riders achilles heel this season. I really honestly believe that Harris will not last the season, and I'm not cheering for a QB injury to anyone, but that is the likely reality. Are they kind of smoke and mirrors? Yea....they aren't as impressive as their record but their record is all that matters in the end. I just don't believe for one second that they can keep it up down the stretch. Like you, I would be shocked if they were the hot hand by seasons end. 
I don't think SSK is particularly well built to hand us our asses. However, I don't think we are particularly well built to hand them theres either. I expect a couple of close games with the football gods likely deciding both of them.
 

Fajardo was a three year starter in Saskatchewan before moving to Montreal, not a career backup. Won a lot of games there.

While I don't mind "going for it",  I'm a bit hesitant when for the most part the lead was gained by special teams/defense and where up until that point they had very little success in the pass game.

Yeah interesting move. I don’t know that they look at him as a T project either. Elite run blocker, if he picks things up fast we might go back to 3 imp ol. This move smacks of wanting an imp guard.

accurate. Jackson had his offence running well with mbt, but couldn’t win or compete to save his life with him. RD wins with all his QBs. Guys a great coach I give it up to him.

I disagree. CS is drive and intensity personified. He knows the coach's preference for ZC and is aware the only way he gets to continue playing is to perform. I think it plays a part in some of the (poor) decisions he's made. You can wonder about his skills/mechanics and even his judgement but he is not a guy that needs to be "pushed".

The issue on that first INT is Streveler staring down his first read and then IMO (others I respect who know about football disagree) the throw he made was extremely inaccurate for the guy he was targeting (Wheatfall).  IMO that ball is behind Wheatfall and short, potentially because Streveler pulls up at the end realizing he’s throwing into a pile of Argos downfield.
The first read stare down is a big part of all the sacks too.  You’re watching a QB that was one read then **** it check down to my legs.  But the legs don’t work anymore.  He isn’t a guy that can operate in the pocket at the speed of these games as a passer.
The biggest problem with Streveler in there is complete inaccuracy in that intermediate 8 yard to 20 yard range.  It’s basically a coin toss if it’ll be an INT every time.  And you can see that weighing on him.  He’s thinking and everything in the pocket is moving too slow unless he’s just throwing to a spot, which can also be dangerous for turnovers.  The velocity combined with being a catchable ball isn’t there.  And it’s way worse than Collaros.  
 
You can go to the well with the backfield motion, levels kind of plays where he has flat option, out/corner option and run option.  But run option is all but dead.  He’s not setting his feet to throw and there’s no hip rotation.  He’s throwing from his right shoulder, nothing from the core and lower body.  They are squeezing as much as they can out of him IMO.

Tait is a good writer and always was. He's got a nice job being the Bombers hype man right now but that doesn't diminish how he set himself apart based on his work prior to taking that gig.

OL will get better, assuming big Stan is not out for the season. First game, they were a strength. Also, TO has weaknesses but they are not on the DL.

Doug Brown said on the pregame show that he believes there is an internal issue for why Mitchell isn't starting. When Ed Tait pushed back, Doug said: "I've seen this happen in locker rooms."

Speaking of those two: their pregame opinions and tone, were not that different from this place. I'd say they had Tait squirming, just a bit.
