Mark H. got a reaction from Piggy 1 in GDT - Little Kitties @ Blue BombersI was sitting right behind the bench yesterday. Hall was talking to Rios and Sayles & showing them plays on the Ipad almost non-stop, for most of the first half. Eventually it was clear that they weren't listening anymore. Hecht tried to give them his 0.02 as well, which was laughable.

Mark H. got a reaction from Eternal optimist in Jonathan Hefney Arrested For TraffickingThe average wage in Canada is around $50 000. According to what some of you are saying, the average Canadian should be set for life in about 15 years - large unexpected bills included.
Sorry, your math does not add up.

Mark H. got a reaction from Piggy 1 in 3 stars plus hh tigerslopReally? The pass rush was largely neutralized by Hamilton’s max protect scheme. DL was not a big factor in the game - Evans had ample time to throw.

Mark H. got a reaction from Mark F in GDT - Little Kitties @ Blue BombersWhat are the alternatives? If they put an American at safety, can they rotate Canadians on the DL to make the ratio work? Either Thomas or Kongbo would have to be on the field for every defensive snap.
I'm very sure they can't / won't put a Canadian at either offensive tackle position. We're already seeing the results of Hardrick playing hurt at that position.
The final, and in my opinion the most likely option, is starting another Canadian receiver. Demski, Petermann, Wolitarski, Harris, Augustine, are their options at receivers and RB. That means 4 out of those 5 have to be on the field, leaving depth razor thin.
So, what are the alternatives? An improvement at safety very likely means a loss at another position.

Mark H. reacted to B-F-F-C in 3 stars plus hh tigerslopWith a game like this one. We shouldn’t even start a 3 stars thread. Waste of time and all we do is find the least awful players out of a bad bunch.

Mark H. reacted to johnzo in Nichols out for the yearffs man, I invite you to lie down on your stomach, prop yourself up with just your right arm, elbow on the floor, and then get Shawn Lemon to bellyflop on your shoulders.
After that you can make judgments on who's brittle and who's not.
Soon as I saw how Nichols went down and then how he left the field pointing at his shoulder, I figured he was Lulay'd or Khari'd. I suspect the dude isn't just losing a season over this. I'm sad for him tonight, he was a warrior who turned around the Bombers' program after a lot of years in the wilderness. His win-loss record with us is absurdly good. I'll always be a fan of his.
If I remember right, he's doing sports management courses at Gonzaga, so he's positioning himself for the next act.

Mark H. reacted to Mike in Jonathan Hefney Arrested For Trafficking700k before taxes and expenses that go beyond the average citizen? Set for life? LMAO
Also, why on earth are we assuming he averaged over 100k a year for his career?
I'd say it'd be highly optimistic (almost bordering on foolish) to think that after all his taxes and job related expenses, Hefney took home more than $175,000 USD over the course of his career. Add in kids, a mortgage, bills ... how in the world does someone figure he's set for life?

Let's look at the most recent Conservative regime, using the link you provided:
Surplus years: + 25.3 Billion
Deficit years: - 144.7 Billion
Net (deficit): - 119.4 Billion
The end result: if you're casting your vote based on how a government manages finances, hold you nose and pick your poison.
