There's more this than you think.  Islamic extremists do not just occur by random chance.  There are schools in the middle east where these people are trained.  Trained to be violent and trained to have a very narrow world view. Does that have anything to do with the shootings in Ottawa?  Maybe not.  Does Canada need to be on the alert?  You better believe it.

WINNIPEG Blue Bombers head coach Mike O'Shea volunteered Thursday his 6-11 football team "needs to get better, from me on down."
But when O'Shea was asked by reporters if he was admitting he'd personally made mistakes in his rookie season as the Bombers' field boss, O'Shea bristled.
  "I'll have to go back and go through everything and take some notes on that," O'Shea replied.
So, no mistakes leap immediately to mind? O'Shea was asked.
"Nothing leaps to mind? No, because I'm solely focused on beating Calgary," he said. "But I'm sure you'll tell me."
It was a rare testy exchange between O'Shea and local reporters and it came on the same day the Bombers held their last full practice of the 2014 season at Investors Group Field. The club will travel to Calgary today in advance of their final game of the season on Saturday at McMahon Field against the Stampeders.
 
It seems that O'Shea's stubbornness is going to continue and that does not bode well for our rookie head coach.

I watched the OL closely last night.  They got beaten a few times, but overall they had an above average game.

Indeed.  And have a slotback run a crossing route or curl if the RB is staying in to block.  I completely agree, I had a good view of most of those sacks.  Only 2 - 3 were on the OL.

Willy had time to chuck the ball downfield on the last play.  By the time he got sacked a couple of receivers were already standing still in the endzone.

They don't have the best pass D in the league either...nothing like that...

Mike walked into a team with little Canadian talent.  The Non-Imports brought in to fill the holes got hurt (Lucas, Alexander, Neufeld, etc).  The team dealt with multiple injuries (Suber, Sears, Moore, Watson, Anderson, Willy) and were competitive in many games (sans Edmonton and the Ottawa game).  
 
The team showed flashes... Leggett at safety, Bruce Johnson at HB, Sears & Wild at LB, Anderson on the DL, and Willy at QB.  The Canadian backup talent is younger and more promising than that of past years too.  
 
In past years, our team mismanaged games, and the play clock with veterans at the helm.  Sure, at the start of the year we did the same.  At the end of the game on Saturday, we looked to be the team with the better CFL game knowledge.  At the end of the half, BC screwed their chance at the TD.  At the end of the 4th quarter, Rory Kolhert hit the deck with 2 seconds left for one more play.  It's plays like this that will win games for us in the future.

I think finding better American OL needs to be priority #1
