  1. You are Jake Thomas and I claim my $5.
  2. Glad to hear it! I haven't observed that Bomber fans congregate in a particular section. That pretty much only happens when Hamilton or Montreal attend. Just try not to be on the East side for an evening game - the setting sun is blinding. Let me know which game and we'll meet up at the TG.
  3. Hard disagree. You're welcoming the world to your country. You don't send them to Edmonchuk. (I say this as someone who quite likes Edmonton and have extended family there who I'm overdue to visit. Never been there in winter though)
  4. We all enjoy when our rivals have eras of futility and spin their tires in the mud. Speaking for myself, in seasons where the Argos don't win it all I find it a source of comfort and laughter that the TiCats are still without a win in this millenium.
  5. Adding 17k temporary seats make the most sense. Argos/TFC haven't shown that they need a permanent facility for more than the 28k that BMO can hold. And we still have the concrete pimple if we need a place to hold 50k for something.
  6. Yeah, you may need to workshop some new talking points and subject matter. Honestly, if you'd just hang on until BMO gets its 45k seat conversion, the jokes will write themselves.
  7. From a timeline point of view... one could postulate that Alford going south was the downturn point of the Bombers' fortunes.
  8. That's a blast from the CFL-Online-Community past... I'm having a flashback Wasn't there a poster who pumped Jason Boltus' tires in multiple posts/day for basically the entire season we was in Winnipeg??
  9. I recall him doing 600+ pound squats mid week when he was in TO. Gym-rats gonna Gym-rat.
  10. Just to add: Shiny new stadium may have helped attendance in recent years.
  11. Doggone. That's the most beautiful helmet/uni/pants combo that any football team ever wore.
  12. Was it Thomas who failed to bring Kelly down in the backfield on 2nd & 15?
  13. Here is CFL.ca 's Way-Too-Early Power Rankings: https://www.cfl.ca/2025/02/24/the-way-too-early-amsoil-power-rankings-are-here/ And here is CFL.ca 's critique of its own Way-Too-Early Power Rankings: https://www.cfl.ca/2025/02/25/everything-wrong-with-the-way-too-early-amsoil-power-rankings/
  14. I feel like a QB who mostly carried a clipboard in our league would also be more of a student of the game sort of guy.
  15. Yeah, it makes me feel good to see God's Own topping the list. But seriously, it makes me feel even better to see the Marianas Trenchesque graph representation that is the Ticats' Grey Cup "performance".
  16. I agree with your post, largely, but had to add: We yanked MacBeth for Kelly because his hand connected with a Bomber player's helmet (I want to say Jeffcoat?) and as you know, having to rely on a QB with an injured throwing hand is bad... luckily we had 12 ready to go.
  17. Bombers were a club with a winning record in '18 and '19. Behave.
  18. I confess that I may be way off base here since I haven't bothered to go look it up, but I'd bet you a coke that Dukes has a better W-L than Streveler.
  19. I don't think I'm overrating him. I only said that he's a better option to put in to lead your team than Streveler, Wilson or Patterson. At this point that's what the evidence has showed me. I suppose the jury will be out on it unless and until any/all/none of them end up being a #1 somewhere.
  20. Dukes has a limitation that defences around the league found after he started the season on fire. Once they schemed to take his slant routes away, he simply didn't adapt by showing that he could make them pay for it down the sidelines or over the top. Can he add that to his game? I don't think it's a tendency thing (where he looks short and mid first) I think it's more of a Zip thing, or a lack thereof. He's still 26 so I won't say it couldn't happen but there isn't all that much that a professional QB can do to give himself a better fastball... Having said that, he's still a better QB2 than what you have. Father Time is undefeated and Collaros doesn't appear young for his (advanced) age. It is within the realm of the likely-to-happen that your QB2 is leading your team this season.
  21. i) We aren't totally sure. ii) I suppose we're good with what we've brought in to replace (yet another, seemingly annual) mass exodus.
  22. No, they weren't doing well before the finger happened... Except that after it did, the entire margin of victory was given away by Zach and the gimp finger. I stand by the assertion, that I think is self evident based on the above stated fact, that if MOS had a backup worth beans (and yes, if he trusted him), the Bombers win 111.
  23. I think his spouse and her family is from Edmonchuk?
