  1. I'd reflexively disagree since the recent trend seem to be hiring an OC or QB coach who has a pleasing-to-the-eye offensive style and then hiring a defensive coordinator... but Saskatchewan and O'Day can (and likely will) go do whatever.
  2. Pontificate on, with your Pontification. (I'm a poet)
  3. To be clear, he was and is outstanding. Just not in my opinion, the most outstanding.
  4. Saying this before I add context: I picked Brady Oliveira as MOP. But: you can't blame Kelly for his "lack" of flashy stats. We start every drive at midfield. We've won the starting field position battle for a stupifying 17 straight games. We have the best kickoff, 2 best punters and best returner. Kelly doesn't even put together "drives" so much as he comes out at midfield, makes a 35 yard throw and then we run it in. Hell, we're usually up by two scores so we don't even pass in the second half but for 2nd and longs.
  5. Non story. "Reporter" to Henry Burris via social media: Mister Burris Sir, wouldntcha just lurve to come back to Saskatchewan?!? Burris: Yeah... That'd be uh, good.
  6. They did it for Cornish.
  7. There's a guy that knows how to party.
  8. It is at 6:30pm in civilized time zones....
  9. Think the Rams will sign him? IDK which team down there will get him, but it's clear that's where he's going.
  10. I feel like we should win 4, but will win 2. Leake and Stiggers should be easy picks from the Argos. Pickett and Allen should be but won't win. The MOP thing for me is always about the wording: most outstanding player, as opposed to most valuable. I have no problem picking Kelly for most valuable, but Brady Oliveira wins most outstanding for me.
  11. From Ben's Breakdown on 3downnation: "What makes football more intense than other North American team sports is how few games there are. Extreme emotional highs and lows stem from the fact that a win in the CFL is equivalent to a nine-game winning streak in Major League Baseball, and a loss, a nine-game losing streak. In baseball terms, the Saskatchewan Roughriders closed out their season with 63 straight losses."

  13. Truth. That's why back to backs are such an anomaly in our league.
  14. Very true. Also true that there's a difference between turnover, key starter turnover, all-star turnover and QB turnover.
  15. 2025 is the big tamale, right? At what point do you switch which parts to get you there? 2 off-seasons to go. I think that even the least skeptical of the BB roster management would have to figure in at least some turnover/evolution/rebuilding/restocking to get you the home field GC of your dreams. And on the other hand, the more roster skeptical among you may see big changes to see it through.
  16. I'd be yukking it up over the vacancy in Saskatchewan... but we've got 2 guys they'll be looking to interview.
  17. Dang! High of 15 today. Rode to work. Might get a ride in Saturday too is the rain holds off. It's always touch and go this time of year because the first night below zero may bring the salt trucks out (we use a liquid brine on our roads here). Once they've coated the roads, the bike is away till spring.
  18. Doubt you'd do that until you've interviewed HC prospects to see who they would want in the DC role.
  19. That's the sort of thing the insiders feed to their media shills who have to put it out there for them. It's a way of the insider (like ODay) calling in a favor for the access they've given to the shill.
  20. Ho Lee Crap Now, can they hang on?
  21. I swear they rob more than an entire yard from us every spot
  22. After how he was just telling Dukes off on the sideline, he may now.
  23. They are just going to get every sort of call go their way.
