As a neutral, I'm really looking forward to this one. Biggest regular season match this season so far. BC is good and is playing better than Winnipeg is right now, but they are beatable. My prediction: If the Bombers win the turnover battle, they win.

"Fired", will be the least of his troubles.

So now that the Ukraine-NATO offensive has observably failed, which was the obvious outcome since the start of the SMO, and they're now pretty much scraping the bottom of the barrel on munitions, tanks and troops... How long till the neoclowns start peace talks? How long till they get rid of Zelensky? Will they then pivot to China and lose two major engagements to keep their streak alive? I wonder if Abe Froman will be at his wake.
-
We may. This is the worst by far that the offence has done all year.
-
Ok. Credit where it's due: That toss was a cool little play. I wonder where Lauther is from.

There's a highland dancer in green at the centre field line with better footwork than the Rider O-Line
-
Why not? Reasonably sure that he's our 3rd string QB as it is. Live halftime betting line is Toronto -25.5. Ye gods.
-
And that, is what adding insult to injury looks like. It is just raining **** on the Riders now.
-
Maybe they should stick to playing the Elks.

It looks to have been largely Magri and Russell. Clemmons and Barker had senior positions and were consulted involved. But you'd have to convince me that Murphy wasn't in on it from the weeds. -

We know that Harris can burn a defence with a catch. We don't yet know if AJ is that sort, but he was in T.O. in the off season specifically to learn route running, so I'd love to see it. Particularly since Dinwiddie has some forms where we go with a split (until they move) or I've seen either or both at tight. -

Who does? But seriously, Ray didn't have the top running game and defence working for him, so Kelly may just keep rocking (provided he stays healthy). If I have a beef with him (and at this stage anyone who does is being very petty considering what he's been like) it is that he never checks down. Watch him. If his first read is a no-go you can actually see him spot his check down and then he will keep looking. It isn't part of his makeup to take the easy 5-6 yard pass. It lead to a truly brutal pick in week 6 against Montreal where he threw across his body. And then against Hamilton he did the exact same thing but it wasn't picked. -

Yeah. Exactly. I made an allusion in the pre season while the Argos were assembling their team. They were making some excellent moves and I couldn't even think that not having MBT come back (or another ready-made QB) was even an option. We had won the championship, built what might arguably be the strongest roster of players (other than at QB) and then put a player who has had less than 100 CFL snaps run it?? It would be like if Red Bull, after winning last year with a dominant car, decided to change out Verstappen for a driver who'd only ever completed one race before. Unthinkable. But here we are and I am happily eating humble pie on this subject. Who is our QB2? Cameron Dukes. How young is he? I dunno, but he still has spots on his face. What do I know about his play? Well... he comes in for short yardage, but because he looks like he weighs a little less than Paul Reubens does, he has no push so he only gets the job done half the time. Why else does Kelly have so many rushing TDs. (and now that Chad is our obvious QB1, it does my head in that he has to keep coming in at short yardage if Dukes can't make it). EDIT: Dukes bio says he is 24 years old, 205 pounds (riiiiight) and won the NA1A Championship as a QB. -

The big issue we have at DL is that I'm sure how the ratio management is going to allow everyone to get enough games. Oak is practicing full now but Brinkman's play has been so good. Henoc still hasn't played. Jordan Williams is practicing full. By and large, we're still healthy. But, like Winnipeg, we're a QB injury away from beingin a crisis. -

It may not end up as a cakewalk, but I've seen the other teams in the East enough. They aren't on the Argonauts' level. It's down to injuries and luck now. -

Yeah... the "new" stats pulldown is a disaster. -

Wondering if Ja'Gared Davis has found his jockstrap yet after Chad juked him out of it in week two for a score. -
Hope that you're both right, but if he gets his storybook year leading a team to a major trophy, I think he'll have takers offering guaranteed money. The guys all love him and his work ethic is impressive.
-
Pretty much that. For me, I'm starting to wonder if Kelly will be One-And-Done. If he continues as he has been, you wouldn't bet against him making getting a deal down south. It's obviously his main motivation.
-
I think that Winnipeg is doing what veteran laden teams in the CFL do: coast through the early stages, don't get yourself killed in July and August... and try to make your run when it counts. I'm an Argo fan, I've seen us make GC runs exactly like that. (which is why having us out to a fast start this season is such an anomaly)
-
If it makes you feel any better, the Argos didn't win the GC that year. They lost to the Rough Riders in the East Final.
-
What was the other one?

The Scullers haven't been 5-0 in my lifetime. On paper this ought to be a comprehensive win, but the Tabbies won't want to lay down at home. Particularly in a year where Hamilton is hosting the Grey Cup. Coach Stein has to keep them believing. I'm trying to think of how they'll come at our defence other than try and try again to run. Maybe they do what the Als did and use about 35+ screens? It'll be chippy, dirty and covered in penalty flags. 10.5 spread. I take the Argonauts and give up the points. EDIT: Fun Fact - The last time the Argonauts were 5-0 to start was the year that McMahon Stadium Opened!

7:30 at the Donut Box tonight (6:30pm Central... sorry) The Toronto Argonauts (4-0) @ The Hamilton Tiger Cats (2-3) Streaks: Argos 4W, TiCats 2W Last Meeting: Week 2, 32-14 Argo win at BMO Significant: Hamilton will be starting QB3 Taylor Powell (BLM and Matthew Shiltz are injured)... TiCats allowed nearly 500 net yards against the Elks last week... Chad Kelly achieved this season's highest PFF rating for any player in the win over the Al's last week (despite throwing one truly awful pick)... the last time the Argos were 3-0 was 1991 (GC Win), last time 4-0 was 1983 (GC Win) last time 5-0 1960 (10-4 lost Eastern Final) EDIT: TiCats Suck
