  1. Disagree. Dinwiddie keeps "developing" new wrinkles each time out against an opponent or a particular setup. Really enjoying watching him make me eat crow, because he obviously has a lot going on football IQ wise. As a football nerd, it's been fun watching opposing DCs repeatedly get caught with their pants around their ankles when the thing that they weren't prepared for happens to them. I think we go if not full Vanilla, then at least Neapolitan after we lock 1st. Certainly on the road anyways. I recall in years past when we needed a rest before the playoffs and we'd clinched to late how we'd play all 2nd and 3rd stringers at our last game at home... Sucks to sit in the cold stands with the wind off the lake for those stinkers!
  2. If the Argos pull out the win tomorrow in Montreal (the Als always play us tough there), we lock up our place in the East Final. If that happens, there is every chance that what the Bombers will see at IGF is a Toronto squad that is resting a lot of banged up players who don't have a Bye Week in the second half of the season. They also would likely see a "dummy" version of our offence where we just do a bunch of formations to see how the Bombers defence reacts. I'm not saying that we won't try to win or anything, just that after we lock 1st, then our road games in particular will be heavily rotated teams. But first, we need to win tomorrow and then watch Montreal, Hamilton, Ottawa and any Crossover hopeful kill themselves for the remainder of the season for a chance to play at BMO on Remembrance Day.

I know, I know... But they did approve it in this country without all the tests. So please forgive me if I can't get past this sort of word-wizardry: Do what you reason to be right for your situation and I'll still be hopeful for everyone's best outcome. Just praying that they don't lock us down again.

FDA approves new monovalent shot based on "manufacturers data" and no clinical trials. They also approved it for 12+ year-olds and authorized its use from 6 month to 11 years. I'll sit this one out. Good luck everyone and stay well.
  5. Not all that different than what we paid to extend Nicastro. And he (Korte) is Edmonton's hometown boy.
  6. Kerry Fraser wouldn't blatantly ignore Gretzky high-sticking Gilmour directly in front of him.
  7. None of the 5 turnovers or the 100 yards of penalties were on him though.
  8. Bombers need to take care of business this week. The TiCats know that Montreal may suffer a loss again and that a win pulls them even in second.
  9. Firmly in 3rd may not be enough. Their schedule for the run-in is Toronto and The West.
  10. Weekly bets in. Choosing Bombers to cover was my easiest money to lay out this week. Revenge + sore ass factor.
  11. Starting to think that the possibility of a crossover is more likely than not. Today is a must-win for the TiCats... because their schedule for the rest of the season is basically Toronto and The West.
  12. Next few times we send AJ out wide I guess we'll see.
  13. I appreciated it. Not because it was a gadget play and cool to watch, but because it will make defences have to account for it in future games. DBs won't be able to leave their cover as quickly to come up to the line for Ouellette.
  14. Our 4th string QB had a good day.
  15. Quick question: how tall is Dolegala?
  16. Idk. In a bizarre way, the Argonauts have been the beneficiaries of a campaign of utter indifference from MLSE. They've been able to keep the operations group together because the parent company can't be arsed to look into the day to day or strategic planning of the football team they own... And having been left to their devices, the Argos have basically gone ahead and filled the teams pipeline with elite talent and prospects. Under normal circumstances I'd question whether anyone at MLSE was even aware of the 1.8M commitment they've just made to a CFL player... But even they must've seen it on the news the last 24 hours. It has actually been the lead sports story for an entire news cycle here.
  17. True. That's totally within the realm of possibility.
  18. The 2024 bonus is an attempt at NFL-proofing the deal. ie: unless an NFL team offers guaranteed money, the $250k just for showing up at BMO next year is hard to beat.
  19. I get that someone might want to wait and see before judging this contract. Still early days and all that. But underwhelmed by his play? I don't know what he'd have to do to make you whelmed.
  20. Not for me. I remember too many dodgy calls in the Als favor against us. I agree. Not until he plays a whole year and proves it, he ain't. But... Over the life of the contract, you'd have to say that The Chad likely is going to be better than Zach in 2025 & 2026. Big money, but I get it.
  21. Still a long way to go, but the Argos are up 19% year to date on attendance.
