  1. The O Line and at QB are the main areas where it is a must, and absolute requirement to have a succession plan in place. Pretty much any other area of the team can be patched up through free agency, but you've got to have those two handled.
  2. Hey, the off season can be a long slog. Thought I'd offer the invite.
  3. Non Bomber Off Season Update: One of my riding Brothers gets the Grey Cup a week from today on the Holiday Monday. We're tailgating and having a party. Expecting 70+ friends. Menu is looking good. Any MBB posters in the GTA East who'd like to pop-in can PM me. Speaking for myself, it'll be the final time this off season that I celebrate our Championship. Afterward, the climb begins again.
  4. If Rhymes and his agent want to angle for a new deal (likely by offering another year or two), they're welcome to try. The worst the team can say is "no".
  5. The silence over that train derailment is beyond suspicious. Anything in the media regarding it is in very innocuous, anodyne terms. No pun intended, but this thing glows in the dark.
  6. Double Blue Meanie? Nice.
  7. I'm day drunk. But I had to report back that my research project was received very favorably and that all of my Brothers raised an enthusiastic toast to Sir William Stephenson... the Quiet Canadian... The man called "Intrepid".
  8. https://www.tsn.ca/cfl/toronto-argonauts-re-sign-running-back-a-j-ouellette-1.1918103 This is pretty good for the Scullers. Also... Petition to change the thread name. Sorry.
  9. Yes! I am President of a riding Chapter that has Associated Chapters and Grand Chapter Districts around the world. Each one will typically have a Chapter Nickname and Patch. Within our local geographic area that we call home is the site where Camp X operated. So naturally our name is a riff on William Stephenson's Codename: Intrepid. I just love his story. Great man. Proud to have his name on my vest.
  10. Yeah, you could get strong arguments either way for Riel.
  11. Pretty sure this is in reference to his prank where he solicited votes from listeners?
  12. So I'd say that the easy answer to who the Greatest Canadian to come from Winnipeg is of course Terry Fox. He didn't spend much of his life there, but he was indeed born there so I think that he is hands down the Greatest Canadian from Winnipeg. Who then, would you say, gets the runner up prize and why? I'm asking because of a research project I'm doing and I would say that it is about your 2nd greatest Winnipegger. I won't say who it is because I don't want to bias the outcome... But I'm genuinely curious on who the consensus points toward.
  13. Or alternatively, and equally hilarious, Fajardo has a degree of success in Montreal and people realize that it was just impossible for him to do anything other than stink in that Rider team.
  14. What do you reckon Kevin Glenn made when they shared a locker room? It couldn't have been more than $300...
  15. Was it not pretty much universally accepted that Milt was well north of $200k? In his MOP-Calibre years where he'd have commanded that, there were QBs making in that range. I don't think it's worth discussion really. The assertion that sometimes overpaying can be worth it was true in his (rare) case.
  16. His name was Milt and you guys seemed to be just fine with paying him (what was at the time) money on par with quarterbacks.
  17. Yeah... I want to stick up for him... But I realized that he may be in for a year of utter futility and there's not going to be anything on the field making him look anywhere near a frontline player. Which, on his day, he absolutely is.
  18. It's... beautiful. And the shitty cropping just adds to the sadness! Sir this undoubtedly will become the face of the Riders online. Everyone: save this file. Apply liberally.
  19. It's the going rate for a frontline CFL starter. Harris at 500 isn't a bargain, but it isn't outrageous.
