  1. said it before, will say it again: "geography".
  2. one of two reasons i'd love to see him as a Bomber
  3. Not suggesting every QB thinks the same, but we didn't lose out on Collaros from a lack of effort or lack of ability to offer a better role than other teams. We lost out on Collaros because our reputation as a franchise is in the shitter. I can't say I blame Collaros, I wouldn't have come here either if I was him. And I wouldn't come here if I was Drew Willy. I'd take the safe bet and follow Khari to BC. more like geography.
  4. Phillion and Shivers were welcome to explore their options. Losing McAdoo sucks, but the guy has worked wonders on our O-Line for 3 seasons and deserves the promotion.
  5. i thought he was on our active rosters too.
  6. didn't even know that we'd released JFG.
  7. playoffs ought to be the goal. with 5 teams in the West and a new franchise in the East, the crossover will very much be in play.
  8. Hell has officially frozen over... I agree with blutes magutes! Having morely as a contingency plan (and yes if need be, starter) is not the worst casr scenario.. the worst case scenario would be having nobody. Morley is a bit better than that... now Walters has to determine if you must go with 2 imports on the line again and if so, recruiting someone better than Boatma .
  9. hating the REDBLACKS

  10. you never know how quickly your youth will develop (or not) you never know how many FA you will be able to get (or not) until after the 15th having a proper contingency plan is always prudent (even if it is one that you really hope you won't have to rely on primarily)
  11. what gay imagery? Did you think the expression "take it in the arse" was a holiday greeting in Australia? why would i presume that's a gay reference...? In that case, let me know which of your female Facebook friends are single. I'm suddenly interested. like being single is important...

  13. what gay imagery?

  15. Only if you're in some kind of bizzaro world. They have one starting quality NI in Shologan. Almost all of their OL are damaged goods or failed prospects, a couple are still prospects. Hage and Eppele would stroll into the Bomber O-Line. Hage is done with the knee injury. Eppele will have a long career in a 9 team league, but is he anything more than an average guard. Not yet. You could put Morley in Eppele's jersey and Eppelle in Morley's and you wouldn't know the difference aside from Morley's gut. Hage (when available) is better than anything NI Wpg has on the line. So is Eppele and he's still improving. Equating him with Morley is baffling. Total disservice to Eppele. to wit: a guy who was behind Eppele on our O-Line depth chart (Parenteau) strolled into your line... and you think Eppele wouldn't??
  16. highly doubt it. even if a bigger name isn't brought in via FA (and i think that one will), you won't have Buck blocking the progress of the prospects.

  18. Eppele stings. but we couldn't protect all of Holmes, Van Zeyl, Keeping and Eppele... (and we have Wayne Smith and Kyle Koch for depth and Matt Sewell whenever he's done his MBA so coach McAdoo has plenty to work with). Eppele's an excellent add for them on what has to already be considered a fair O-Line in terms of talent. Still think that he'll want to go west someday... Jon Williams was a very good and unheralded player for us, but we have depth at DT/DE and will likely be adding there in camp anyway. i could see Williams being a mainstay in the league as well. Pottsie hurts because he's a character guy and a leader... but we have Yurichuk and Tonye-Tonye who are younger and less injured. (hopefully one of these two will end up being a backup to Greenwood... but his future is murky right now) we were always going to lose 3 good players. i was mentally prepared for it. hopefully our draft success continues and we continue to have games where we start 8 or 9 NIs.
  19. right? cry me a river...
  20. i can't see Walters making a move like this (Kohlert) without having a solid reason for it. KW strikes me as too focused and detail oriented to have not already had discussions with Kohlert and his representatives. will give him the benefit of the doubt on this and presume that in the coming weeks i'll read about Walters already having been told that Kohlert wanted out of Winnipeg.
  21. Hage, Pottinger and Fraser... REDBLACKS fans have to like that they're getting established CFL'ers unlike the last time they did this.
  22. see now you see the true genius of Joe Mack - he knew all along how painful it would be to lose a good NI and so ensured that we had none that anyone would want. Brilliant! chess-master! thinking that far ahead into the future to plan being this shallow of talent... brilliant! (i'm thinking that we'll be losing one of Tonye-Tonye or Bradwell...)
  23. ready to lose another good NI...
  24. Mack did not ignore the draft. You may not agree with some of the choices he made but his record with the draft is as good as any other GM during the time he was here. says you Says a lot of people. still an apologist... ignored.
