  1. Just what the F&^K are you trying to say here dumbass?!
  2. i never read it as AC throwing his coaches under the bus. he said that the coaches, players and fans have to do better (they were doing the typical Montreal thing of booing the hometeam at the first sign of adversity). he didn't single out anyone, he said they were all (including him) to blame.
  3. oh hell... why would you bring them on here? someone sent that to me a few months back and i'm still not sure i want to talk to them... "sorta NSFW"???
  4. that's a bit unfair... before his long career with absolutely no CFL experience whatsoever, he was a QB in the 70s.
  5. how do you mean? Collaros is elusive and improvisational, Harris is a pocket guy.
  6. welcome aboard.
  7. yeah. that's been our traditional TD celebration in our section.
  8. i liked Harris better at that point. he doesn't have the weird baseball-windup that Collaros has (which caused a fumble last night). also, being a traditional pocket-passer may fit us better since that's what our #1 is... makes for an easier transition. but it's hard to argue either Collaros' obvious success last night or the collective QB wisdom of Milanovich/Brady/Maas in making their choice.
  9. that. it's also super risky for the team that holds the player's rights to extend them.
  10. the price went up though. and if Barker wasn't willing to take the useless big contracts and spare part players that were offered then, i don't know if Mack would be willing to meet Collaros' new valuation.
  11. made my day
  12. There was no subterfuge in having Harris in the game. he's a different type than Collaros (pocket passer like Ray) and has a different package. Harris and Collaros were co #2 QBs. Harris is a top prospect as well and was ahead of Collaros on the DC all last season (and looked very good against Hamilton when they were fighting for their lives against him).
  13. you're right... i was (obviously) going to take the Argos' starting TB (Steele), but i neglected to make it official (fighting Tuesday rush hour to get to the concrete pimple) even though i tipped my pick before the weekend. so what happens if i don't have an official pick registered? is that a strike?
  14. just got home. in fairness, i would've been home 13 minutes earlier most nights because the train usually runs on time. but it's 5 to 1. train was full f Argo fans... some have another stop or two to go. please remember this next time someone says that Toronto doesn't have hardcore CFL fans.
  15. ...Annnnd just getting to my car now. By this point most of the 905'ers (where most Argo fans live) are getting home. I'll be another 10 minutes... But likely I'm stopping for a slice on the way. 12:25am here.
  16. After midnight now... Train still has 3 stops before I get to my car, then 10-15 minutes (depending on lights).
  17. Between Eglinton and Rouge Hill now. My sled is at Whitby. Definitely cancelling my morning appointments.
  18. This insanity has been SOP for years. And Rider fans were shocked that they only drew 18k to our barn (horrors!). As of right now I'm between Danforth and Scarborough station on a delayed Go Train and not likely to be home until well after midnight... But yeah... TO fans avoid going to Argo games because the don't like football...
  19. He wears a foam argo-shield-guy (like our logo from 2004). That's Fphnebitz. Future PM of Canada. Shocked that we got a win. I'm STILL at Union Station waiting for my delayed train home... I don't know how lameass the attendance was tonight, but when you consider that it's 11:30 and I'm still nowhere near home, please be kind.
  20. when you get the entire "behind the scenes" story on the exodus... you'll have a difficult time with that one too.
  21. maintain the quality of the site... ...the site who's quality was so high that it inspired a mass exodus to MBB...
  22. oh dear...
  23. it's more of a community here period. the other place was just a bulletin board. posters came here in an attempt to make something better. having a shared purpose helps make it a community. then you also have the Chatroom for games. this is way better than a gameday thread, imo. you're actually watching the games realtime with the other posters. it's the best sort of CFL online bonding. the camaraderie and esprit de corps is doing well here... and i think that if anyone stepped over the line he'd get blasted from all sides. signal-to-noise ratio is key. over the years on OB, there were less than 10 posters who's football-opinions i really enjoyed and looked for. and then... there was a lot of static all around them. (this is the main reason that RF can be so unreadable... they do have quite a few decent posters, but sifting through the crap is just too tedious... it's also why i enjoy AF). here on MBB, it has been distilled. almost all of the good posters in the Bomber community make this their online home now. some do so exclusively. and having more good football opinions helps the other posters (and noobs) to up their game. 13th man... CFL zone... they're graveyards now. OB will stick around for as long as Colin keeps the lights on... but it's already on the Green Mile.
  24. hopefully he brought some crayons to explain CFL football to Crowton...
  25. fyp. you're welcome.
