the record still reflects: 1 GC to none for Hank.
can we agree on this: Hank does more things that can lose you a game than Glenn... but Glenn doesn't do as many things that can win you a game as Hank. ?
i'd like to see what Lulay could do on a weaker team too... but i still think he's one rung below Ray and Calvillo and still getting better. i just don't see anything about Durant that makes me believe he'll ever be better than say, Kevin Glenn with a better body. Burris can (and does) pick a team up and win the game for them... i don't think i've seen Durant do that and i know i've never seen Glenn do it.
granted.
but: their optimism can't be totally unfounded... am i reading them wrong?
eg: average QB, average O-Line, good receivers, good RB... average D-Line that could be good depending on Chick, average LBs, good DBs but young and prone to brainfarts
i know that Pederson and the gang on RF are all talking about their stacked team that looks like a who's-who of allstars and how they're going to be playing in a hometown GC like TO and BC...
...i'm just not seeing it (not counting tonight, of course, preseason is what it is)... am i missing something?
and this is why i hope Mack is the GM in Winnipeg for many years to come: an engaged fan who has been paying attention can take 2 minutes in a post to come up with a better plan than he can.
haven't you heard, iso? there was a conspiracy at the highest levels of the league that ended up having the two Alberta teams give their QBs to the two Ontario teams.
of course we are going to blitz. it's rare that we just rush with the D-Line. hell, it's rare that we let our Ends rush all out at all (ask Ricky Foley). we're always bringing someone to blitz from somewhere. we may as well practice it since it's all we do...
