  1. @EdTaitWFC - Canadian DT Ian Marouf was just carted off the field with an injury. Gotta suspect the two things have something to do with each other.
  2. The key points are: Which DI on defence do you sit to get Flanders on the field? A DE (Roh?), LB(Wild?) or DB/Returner(Fogg?)? Is it better to use a DI on a backup receiver/returner or Flanders who isn't a returner IMO? Can LaFrance and/or Demski do Flanders job well enough so we don't have to us a DI on Flanders?
  3. A rookie receiver could give one of the big 3 a rest during the game. He could also be the main returner so we would get double duty from 1 DI. I'd rather backup an import receiver with another import receiver then rely on 3 NI receivers, or a 2 back set, if one of the imports gets injured and they've all had injury history over the last few years.
  4. Were not going to sit any of Bowman, Adams or Dressler to get a rookie import receiver/returner into the game, but it's no problem to sit them to get Flanders into the game to run a 2 back set that we can run with Lafrance or Demski without taking one of the big 3 off of the field. That doesn't pass the sniff test.
  5. To get Flanders in the game, we have sit one of Adams/Dressler/Bowman. As a DI, he has to take an import off and it won't be our QB or an OL.
  6. I think that's the reason we brought him in in the first place.
  7. Flanders is the better back by far. I'd like to keep him around in case of an injury to Harris, but I don't see him getting on the game day roster due to the ratio. I don't think we brought Roh in to be on the PR. Corney and especially Ekakatie are rotation guys, not starters yet.
  8. I expect Medlock, Roh, a DB (Fogg as he's also a returner), and an LB (Wild if he's not a SMS casualty). I don't see the big need for Flanders now that we have LaFrance as an in game Harris replacement. If we use a DI on offence, I hope it's one of the new receivers who can also return.
  9. The overunder is 70K. 😉
  10. Manziel and Cato are similar. Athletic, talented, immature, head cases. The most likely outcome isn't good, but there's always a chance that Manziel could mature and become the player that folks thought he could be. If that happens, he'll be back to the NFL in a couple of years.
  11. Great signing! Love having an all star quality MLB. Best signing of the offseason IMO and this is an off season that included signing Bowman. Gotta think that we will be able to stop the run this year. Heck, we should be a dominant defence with 11 NI starters and 2 or 3 DI's. Hall should look like a genius.
  12. Manziel will be good for the CFL's name recognition in the US of A. I'm looking forward to see what he can do, but I'm not expecting much, especially in the first year while he scrapes the rust off and learns the differences in the CFL game.
  13. Evidence? What evidence are you talking about?
  14. I don't know anything about either of them, so I won't say they suck unless it turns out that they do.
  15. Going forward I will always think of Darian Durant's DD as Double-Doosh.
  16. Interesting. I guess we find out how good Walters or the Bombers are at writing contracts. Getting the money and SMS room back would be great. Not getting it back would mean not heeding the warning from league to change the phraseology.
  17. Looks like everyone is on the same side for once. I hated the Durant signing. I hate the retirement, the timing, the loss of $70K, and the Bombers finding out thru social media. What an unprofessional piece of trash.
  18. I was getting the same thing on Chrome. I went directly to: Https://WWW.MORNINGBIGBLUE.COM and got in. Had to log on again and change my bookmarks before they worked again.
  19. Absolutely true. We still used 6 draft picks over the last 2 years to fill that spot.
  20. Fixed it for you.
  21. That changes things.
  22. You're right. I don't like it on principle. I don't see where we have the room for 2 or 3 or 4 new NI receivers. Demski and Coates are the pencilled in starters. Woli's got the inside track as the first backup. That leaves one more NI receiver spot for our new NI receivers who are in competition with the guys we already have. If we keep them all, our PR will be full of receivers. Add in that fact that we haven't had any success in drafting receivers at least since Walters came to Winnipeg, and I don't see this ending well. Maybe we want them to fight it out among themselves so we don't have to pay all of this year draft picks for very long.
  23. I ignore that question because it's simply a chance to change the argument from drafting 2 receivers with our first 2 picks to why this or that guy isn't as good as our choices. You think we have room for 2 or 3 more NI receivers this year?
  24. I wasn't negative about the first receiver. I became negative about 2 with the top 2 picks. Imagine having a different opinion than the Bombers and then having to watch the cheerleaders around here complain about it. We've now got 8 NI receivers, only 2 of which have even a little bit of CFL experience. Well 3 if you include Wolo's catch. LOL
  25. I don't mind 1. I don't like 2, especially with our first 2 picks. Not really hard to comprehend.
