We've beaten 0 teams above .500, 1 team at .500 and 2 teams below .500. We are one of the 3 teams below .500.

No, that would be wrong.

MB's offense looked good in 2 games, but we've now played 7. That's not good enough IMO.

[MERGED] Drew Willy Watch 3.0 Has Ended
TBURGESS replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
After Cameron's blog this week, I'd have thought they'd already know exactly what was wrong with Willy. After all, he can tell right away what's wrong with players even without an MRI. -
[MERGED] Drew Willy Watch 3.0 Has Ended
TBURGESS replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Willy slowly limping right to the dressing room. Not a good sign IMO. Dude's tough, but how many times can we trot him out after an injury and have him play well? I'm thinking Brohm's the starter against the Argo's and I don't get a good feeling about our chances of a win. -
Good coaches have jobs at this time of year. Unfortunately, our OC who's a bad coach has one too. If O'Shea could take the offence over, I'd be in favour of canning MB tomorrow, but O'Shea's not up to the task. Any decent OC's out there looking for work?

Close but horrible game. Riders had 2 TD's and a FG called back due to penalties. 43 accepted penalties for 367 and that doesn't count the 100-150 yards of lost gains. Smith was OK, better than our 2nd string for sure. Almost 300 yards, but a killer pick 6. Argo's played bad and still won. Rider's played well and still lost. I'm guessing the Riders fan sites are full of the refs cost us the game and if you just take away this or that play we would have won. Looked like more Rider fans in the stands than Argos fans.

Glad I'm not putting real money down on my picks.

Great game last night. Ottawa's for real. Should have gone with the stats instead of my gut. Cato throws across his body for a bad Int then tosses one deep middle even though there's no Als in the picture for a second one. I'm tired of the Sam story. Either he's a good player or not. Time to start ignoring the fact he's openly gay. I hate when TSN interviews folks and ignores the play going on. Some high school kid and a CIS coach? Who cares? 2 challenges that shouldn't have been challenged. Slows the game down. Ottawa picked on Hefney all night long and he wasn't up to the task. Burris had a great night and receivers made some highlight catches. Montreal keeps losing by 3 or 4. Close but no cigar.

I had a Brock Busters T shirt. Wish I'd kept it. I was there in '84.

Edmonton made some big mistakes. Lulay found his deep ball range and avoided the rush time after time. Harris had a huge game. Fun game to watch right down to the wire.

I voted for 1, but anything between 1 and 5 would be better than what we have now.

The piece that really matters is Hamilton's attacking defence. As long as it's being effective, the Bombers are in tough.

I'll take Whitaker too.

House was tackled and had folks on top of him so he couldn't get his head above water for several seconds. Could have drowned. Could be a tale that gets bigger every time it's told.

I guess they wouldn't be made if they didn't work, but man I hate those stupid commercials. They make me pine for the Wendy's official hamburger of the CFL commercials I hated a couple of years ago.

They are all repacious bastards. They all owe someone, either big companies or trade unions or both. Folks want change, but will the Liberals and NDP split the left vote and give Harper a majority? Think a 76 cent dollar's bad, that would be a high point with NDP policies in place. Don't want to go there at all. Trudeau the PM was bad enough, his son only has the name, not the political smarts. Looked great to the liberals until he opened his mouth a few times and has lost a lot of his lustre. I'm not a Harper fan, but I'll hold my nose and vote conservative again. The other two parties don't have enough things on their agenda's that I support.

It's time for the Riders to start sucking ...
TBURGESS replied to IC Khari's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I don't think changing HC's at this point in the season will do very much. Regina's still going to be working with their 3rd or 4th string QB both of which have very little experience. I'd take Benevides over PLAP and I'd still pull the trigger after the Argos game to give the new HC the bye week to make changes. -
I felt pretty good about my Montreal pick in the first quarter, but they let me down by fumbling their chance at a win away.

Muamba wasn't ready when he got his first starts and we didn't have any other choices but to play him because we made the decision to go NI at MLB. He became a good MLB fairly quickly. Hurl's in his 4th year. By that time, Muamba was in the NFL. He's been a starter in Regina, but lost his starting role, which made him expendable to them. We picked him up in FA, gave him the MLB job and paid him like a starter. Hurl had a good game last week, but it's his only good game as a Bomber. I like Hurl on special teams, but I don't see the comparison to Muamba as valid.

"There is nothing Marve can show in practice this week"
TBURGESS replied to bb1's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I don't think Smith was anything special, but he's better than Sunseri by a long shot. He can run and beat the rush some of the time with his legs, but his accuracy was poor and accuracy is the #1 thing that a QB needs to be successful. -

I completely agree with your first statement. Regina didn't let Willy walk.Willy was our 3rd choice. We'd already tried and failed to get both Collaros and Burris. He's doing great. Nothing the matter with him being our 3rd choice. Funny that you can see when others massage the facts, but you can't see it in yourself. The order the QBs came on the market doesn't mean he was third choice - it means he was the third available. There were a number of reports before any of the QBs were available that the Bombers were very high on Willy. For the billionth time on this forum, they were always going to bring in Willy, but they were also trying to bring in one of the other guys. If Burris came, it was gonna be Burris with Willy as back up last year. That's been in the paper a lot. McManus was a huge DW fan and they were always going to bring him in no matter what. You can be wrong for the billionth time if you want. There's no way we could have got 2 of the top 3 available QB's when other teams needed a starter too. -

There were a number of reports before any of the QBs were available that the Bombers were very high on Willy. Very high doesn't magically make Willy our first or even second choice. If he was our obvious 1st choice, there'd be no reason to even give Burris an offer nor to give Collaros an offer that's rumoured to be higher than the one he accepted in Hamilton. -

I got that too. Changed to US eng and deleted the Canadian eng and it worked after that. Nice error message eh?
