I can't remember a training camp where so many starters got the first week off. I think there is more to this than the team is letting on.

A couple of weeks back... "It's terrible that all the pre-season games aren't on TV, can't we at least get streams of them?". Today... Pre-season games will be streamed. Is this seriously the big announcement they promised yesterday? I'll be one of the few thousand watching the streams.

Reporters learned day 1 not to ask MOS questions he didn't want to answer. Remember that angry stare down? They learned week 1 not to use words that MOS didn't like. Remember the 'we don't use that word around here'. 8 years in fans are still complaining about how the reporters aren't doing their jobs because we aren't getting any information. If it's OK for MOS not to tell us what's going on then stop complaining about not knowing what's going on.

We didn't 'fail to show up'. Toronto had a great game plan and beat us fair and square.

The Ruoff story that I heard at the time from someone 'close to the club' was that the cops caught Bernie's wife with pot and she told them, it's not mine, it's Bernie's thinking he'd just get off because of who he was.

I make an statement. Dipshit complains about something I didn't say. I point that out. Dipshit calls that an accuasation. I restate my opinion. Dipshit calls it arguing in bad faith. I correct him. Dipshit says I'm lying (That's what I'm sorry I don't believe you means). I say that makes you wrong and point out that he in fact is the one who is arguing in bad faith. I let Dipshit have the last word. Dipshit 2 tries to bring me back in with 'Why are you appologizing to that guy'. I ignore it. You come in the next day or is it the day after to try and start it back up again. Assuming that what you believe are facts is different than basing what you believe on facts. There are less than a 100 active posters on this forum especially in the off season. We are the uber fans. We are the one's who would watch a pre-season game that our team isn't in. Assuming that all teams have similar groups of uber fans & that all of them would watch, that's less than 1000 fans across the country. Add in those who would watch their own team's away pre-season game and we're at a few thousand. TSN isn't making money on pre-season games & likely losing money. While not a fact, it's based on the above. TSN can just put on something they already own and make more money in the timeslot. Fact. When I had seasons tickets in Wpg, BC and Cgy, I couldn't give away the pre-season tickets because no one wanted them. Playing pre-season games on TV won't do anything to increase the CFL fan base. Based on the the above fact. Defn: "A bad faith argument is an inauthentic argument. By this, we don’t necessarily mean a factually incorrect argument. Nope that ain't it. I am a contrarion on this point and several others. That's not the same a a bad faith arguement. Bad faith arguments are based in deception & hypocrisy. My argument is based on facts that I believe. It doesn't hide a hidden agenda or mean something that I didn't say. That's where some of you consistantly get it wrong. I say A you complain about B that you think I'm really talking about. That's a bad faith arguement.

Typical. Compaining about what I'm not saying then whining about it. Add in that it's my defacto position for good measure. I'm saying losing a couple of PRE-SEASON games from the tube isn't a problem for most CFL fans. Who Cares? Maybe a couple of thousand of fans accross the league. It isn't a money maker for TSN. They can fill the time with much cheaper crap that they've already paid for. It's a simple business decision. I'm not saying that I'm happy with TSN's coverage or lack there of. I'm not saying that other TV partners are better or worse than TSN. I'm not apologizing for TSN. I'm not saying less CFL is something to celebrate.

No one has to watch poker stars. Just watch something else or go out and do something. I can't imagine that anyone around here will go to their internet radio to listen to these games. Very few eyes on the product, and don't kid yourselves there aren't a lot of eyes on pre-season games, means very little ad revenue. It might even be less than it costs TSN to put the show on. Quite frankly, I'm surprised that TSN shows any pre-season games at all. I've watched every CFL game that's televised for as long as I can remember. I've had seasons tickets in Winnipeg, BC and Calgary. Don't question my fandom becuase I don't whine about glorified practices not being televised.

We're talking pre-season games. They are just practices for the public. I'd say who cares, but the answer is wbbfan & Noeller.

It's also interesting that most if not all of our top paid players are being paid 100% hard money.

The CFL averages 400K-500K tv viewers a week. You think it gets better as the year goes on? Nope. There are about half a million CFL fans willing to watch on TV and about 20,000 willing to go to the stadium to see the games. Tell me more about what the owners should do to fix it?

No, eliminating the ratio does not inevitably lead to changing the rules. Bottom line is the CFL is broken. Older fans are literally dying off & there aren't enough younger fans to take their place. The CFL needs to attract the younger crowd or die.

Everyone around here loves to watch Collaros throw to Schoen and all the other US players on the team. I doubt they'd stop watching the CFL if the ratio was lowered or even eliminated. Changing the CFL rules to NFL rules is another thing. That would stop a lot of us old guys from watching the CFL but, we're no longer the fans that the CFL needs to attract. They need the younger generation and those football fans are NFL watchers.

No ratio doesn't mean no Canadian stars. It means no older Canadian backups. The best Canadians play in the NFL, the second best start in the CFL, the third best play special teams, the rest are backups. The CFL isn't the ratio. It's the rules. It's the home town team. It's the stars and it doesn't matter if they are American, Globals, or Canadians.
