The Lions are lucky that Rourke is showing so much so early. They didn't build the team to win this year. They surrounded their young QB with the best talent they could afford to give him the best shot at winning.

The first pick was Lucky's fault. The second was partly Rourke not putting enough on the ball, partly a great DB play and partly his receiver falling coming back to the ball. Both throws were on time on target and to an open receiver. Rourke's the best young QB to come along in a long time, but he's still a young QB who will make mistakes. He didn't have a great game last night, but they still won ugly.

Same as timing any hit on a receiver. I did it in high school, so it can't be that hard.

Calgary's where we were last week. 4-0 against nothing teams. It'll be interesting to see if they have what it takes to hang with a good team.

4 games is more than I expected. I like that the added on 2 additional games for differing reasons. Best they could do, altho not enough for the hits. Marino will be Dyson'd out of the CFL by the end of the year. Refs will be watching him like a hawk & Riders fans will whine every time he takes a penalty.

You must be a Rourke hater if you think that one game = figured out. Rourke, like all young QB's, will have up and down games. It's all new for him this year. Every game he'll see things he's never seen before. Seeing it on tape is different than playing in it. If he's smart, and I think he is, then he'll learn from the experience. If not, then congrats... you're the first person to see that he's been 'figured out'.

If the team plays like it did in BC, we win. If they play like the first 4 games we don't. Calgary's a good team. They'll play the full 60 minutes. BLM won't get confused by our defence. IMO Carey is the best RB in the league. Should be a good game.

Rourke hasn't been 'figured out'. We got in front on the first play of the game. We took the run away & forced him to throw on almost every play. Our DL beat their OL consistently and made Rourke throw early. We gave him a lot to process. He'll learn from it and get better. He's got the best long ball in the league. We played the best game we've played this year by a country mile against BC. First time the O line dominated. First time the Offence clicked. First time we had a running game. First time we looked like the top team in the league.

The Riders should cut Marino and the league should let other team know that they can't sign him. That would send the right message.

If Calgary wins, they're 4-0. That's 2nd place behind the other & 0 team. No way you have a 4-1 or a 3-1 team ahead of a 4-0 team.

Last year, it was known. This year, not so much. The winner of the game gets first. The loser gets somewhere between 2nd and 4th depending on how the Riders and the Stamps do & I expect both of them to win. A tight game and the loser gets 2nd, maybe 3rd. A blow out and the loser gets 4th.
