I'm not surprised that Bryant isn't playing. He didn't practice all week. If it was heat stroke, I'd expect he would have been back on the field monday.

The only change I'd make to the rouge is: If you kick it through the endzone without being touched, you don't get a point. That still allows for returns and doesn't reward FG misses. -

True, but are those draft picks worth more than Betts is to them? He's a guaranteed Canuck starter who was the league leader in sacks last year. The draft picks are complete unknowns at this point in time. -

The other draft pick could come from trading Adams. -
You're just proving my point. FTR: I thought it was a pick, but I know that I see things with my blue goggles on. I allow for the idea that others, including the CC, don't necessarily see things the same way as I do.

The real problem is that the so called "correct call" is one thing to one teams fans and something else to the other teams fans. It calls for judgement and that's in the eye of the beholder. Was it a pick, a drop, a catch, or down by contact? One could argue any of these scenarios. When it's that kind of play, the CC has decided to simply go with what was called on the field. They will only overturn when it's 'obvious' & that play, though obvious to folks around here wasn't.

Rourke looked great in the first Q then trailed off to mediocre at best. I expect he'll have a good half next week and so on. BC is still in the hunt despite their mid season performance, much like us and our first quarter performance.

Funny thing about the last drive, it wouldn't have happened if Hammy knew how to use the clock. If they just run twice instead of throwing on 2nd downs, they kill 50 seconds of the clock and we never get the chance to score a TD.

Rusty Kelly > Rusty Rourke. Argos offence is back. They are a way better offence with Kelly than without him.

Everyone who is bashing Rusty Rourke... We'll see the real Rourke in 2 to 3 weeks. -
Thanks. I didn't think I'd picked Ottawa.
-
Can you check this weeks numbers. I think you gave me 4 when I only got 3.

TSN knows the calls before they are announced.
-
I think TSN chose the still images based on the call, not the other way around.

Not being a union guy (That was my Dad), I had to look it up... Last chance agreement - a formal, written understanding between an employer and employee, providing a final opportunity for the employee to correct their behavior and retain their job. By outlining specific terms and consequences, this agreement helps to ensure accountability and provides a clear path forward for both parties. I'm guessing that Kelly doesn't want the league to be able to simply fire him if he doesn't comply with their terms. We don't know what the terms or consequences are in the 'agreement' that wasn't agreed on. Could be it voids his contract, which he certainly wouldn't sign. -

Man games lost due to injury. B.C. Lions — 64 man games lost (7.1 per game) Ottawa Redblacks — 69 man games lost (8.6 per game) Edmonton Elks — 81 man games lost (9.0 per game) Saskatchewan Roughriders — 86 man games lost (9.6 per game) Winnipeg Blue Bombers — 87 man games lost (9.7 per game) Montreal Alouettes — 91 man games lost (10.1 per game) Hamilton Tiger-Cats — 92 man games lost (10.2 per game) Calgary Stampeders — 100 man games lost (11.1 per game) Toronto Argonauts — 100 man games lost (11.1 per game) I'm surprised that we're in the middle of the pack. I spent a while looking for a source for the 200K marketing money limit, but couldn't find any. Does anyone else have a source? -

I don't think that both VAJ & Rourke will be Lions next year, but I also don't think that $250K will kill them this year. Even if it does, it's worth it. -

I think BC was banking on Rourke coming back. They were keeping some money in the bank by only paying VAJ 404K. I don't think they care if they go over the SMS by 99+K & Rourke is worth going over by more if it comes to that. Dolegala will get cut ASAP to save 55K. I'm sure they aren't at the top end of their SMS yet anyway. -

Were paying Collaros 600K & Streveler 120K = 720K for our top 2 QB's BC's paying VAJ 404K so they could pay Rourke 316K this year to match our top 2 QB's. Assuming Rourke is worth 600K+, 300K+ for half a season's about right. -
The penalty isn't for intentional hitting below the knees. It's the same as the play that took out Brown. Neither were intentional. Both were penalties.

The Refs on the field missed both calls. The CC got both calls right. That's what they are their for. To fix obvious mistakes.
