Re: Alexander roughing. The ball was 5 yards past the receiver, the receiver was in a vulnerable position, the hit was both unnecessary and to the head. It's the kind of play that needs to be taken out of the game. I thought it should have been called right away, but I was surprised that it was called after a review.

Toronto took away the run and pressured Collaros. If it wasn't for the fumble for the TD and the 50 yarder to Adams, we'd have been embarrassed. Two big plays doesn't make a win-able game. FTR: It was PI and it was a rough play. Don't blame the refs.

If Hamilton goes on a winning streak, then I change my mind based on the new information. Using a 'what if' argument is weak, but it's what you do to bolster your argument. Both Regina and Winnipeg have played a 1 & 1 team and the same 0 & 2 team. I'd argue that BC is the better team with Reilly, but BC only used Reilly in the 2nd half and he wasn't right. A top team and THE top team are 2 different things.

I'm in my 60's and I've been to the cash machine twice this year to take out $80 a time. I still have $60 left in my wallet. Even buying crap off of Kijiji is cashless these days. I could live cashless right now. Cash can be faster until you get the old dude who wants to give exact change and has a wallet and 6 pockets to check before realizing that he doesn't have exact change. No one had any clue week 1. Hamilton & Calgary were obviously top teams in the league based on 2019. Turns out that's just not true this year. Week 2 gives us a slightly better clue. We now know that neither Hamilton or Calgary are top teams right now. Wpg, Reg, and Mtl are the top teams right now. That may change as the season progresses and injuries take their toll. As I said after the Riders first game... They shut it down after running up a big lead, and the Lions scored a bunch of points in garbage time. It reminded me of when we were a bad team that scored a bunch of points in garbage time. The 'Unicorns farting blue rainbows' group around here would go on and on ad infinitum about how close we were and how great our QB was and if this or that just went our way, we'd have won. Guess what? We weren't that close, our QB's only looked good in garbage time, and those things that needed to go our way rarely did. Mike... The really sad thing is you insist on making up what I would have done then complaining about it. All off season we've been told that Fajardo was crap, their O line was crap and their defence was crap and that their injuries would push them way down the standings. Here in week 3 it's starting to sound like wishful thinking rather than studied analysis. Some logic: Riders rank higher in most offensive stats except plays from scrimmage (155,149). Bombers rank higher in most defensive stats except sacks (8,2) and picks (4,3). Not much separating #1 from #2, but wait... they both played Hamilton so we can see how well they both did against the same team. Answer: Riders beat them 30-8 and we beat them 19-6. Of course, here on a Bomber forum, that doesn't matter. The consensus is that the Bombers are #1 and the Riders are crap. To say anything else raises the indignant ire of the pitchfork carrying rabble.

Well that made me laugh out loud. 😆 Common sense is what puts the team who beat Hamilton worse ahead of the one who didn't.

The Riders beat the one common opponent worse than we did, that's why I put them ahead of us in my standings. It's 2 games in, how else are you going to decide which unbeaten team is on top?

1. Riders: Faj-J-J is almost as good as the Riders fans think he is. The OL hasn't been a problem... yet. The injuries haven't either. Beat Hammy worse than we did. 2. Bombers: Haven't played a top half team yet. Our DL and OL are top units. Our kicking is still in flux. 3. Als: Only 1 game against a bottom level team, but looked great for the first game in forever. 4. Argos: 1 and 1 against Wpg and Cgy. Vet laden team with below average QB's. I expect them to drop next week. 5. Lions: Reilly is the difference maker and their coaching and D are way better this year. 6. redblacks: Got a win. 7. Ticats: Played the top 2 teams and lost both. Banks hasn't been the difference maker he was. 8. Stamps: BLM has been bad which makes the team bad. 9. Elks: Couldn't even beat Ottawa.

A great pass? No, but that throw is complete or incomplete 90+% of the time. To make it a pick, it has to be mishandled by the receiver, which it was. I don't blame the QB because I don't expect a great pass every time he throws the ball.

His throw was low and catchable. Looked like Nichols throws except with more velocity. The receiver knocked it up in the air. A good receiver never does that. I was wondering who everyone was going to pick on this year now that Duron Carter's gone. Turns out its Wilder.

What else can PLAP do when his QB can't throw down field?

My Take: Beirness is a breath of fresh air on the panel. She's the comic relief and does it well. Sanchez is getting better each time out. He's the disparaging word guy. Matty's great, but being on Zoom doesn't work for him. He needs to be on set. Milt might as well be let go. He doesn't add anything to the panel. Barker has some good insight, but he's poor on the panel.

Reilly and Nichols should be IR'd ASAP. Both are injured and ineffective. Harris looked good and bad. The pick 6 that lost the Elks club the game wasn't his fault. The other 2 picks were. Masoli looked good and bad too. We didn't give him much time to throw and Banks let him down a couple of times. BLM looked rusty to me and I've heard he's battling a groin injury which could have something to do with it. MBT and Collaros looked great. Top 2 QB's of the week.

I'm one of those who thought it was a mistake to bring him in and is firmly on the bandwagon now. Now... if he can just last the whole season.

Campbell knew before the game that Reilly wouldn't start. He knew that Reilly was starting the 2nd half when he did the interview too. Riders owned the Lions. The second half was all garbage time. Faj-J-J looked good and the suspect O line held up against BC. Reilly threw 50-50 ducks for less than a half. All of them got caught, otherwise it wouldn't have been close. If BC had a decent FG kicker, they would have put a scare into the Riders, but they don't have one. If Reilly's done, then BC's done this year. Lousy game that looked like preseason, with a few great plays and a little bit of tension at the end.

I didn't think that TSN did a good job at all. They still do interviews and ignore the game. They make comments like Collaros was really close to the LOS on the 50 yarder then don't show replay's. They talk over the refs calls. They go to ads then come back after penalty calls and don't bother to explain the call or the outcome. I didn't much like the new graphics either. The slider looks like the old 'flag' slider that indicated penalties. TSN is still bush league IMO.

Collaros was great last night. Best trade we've made since we traded Brock for Clements way back in '84.
