  1. Reilly and Nichols should be IR'd ASAP. Both are injured and ineffective. Harris looked good and bad. The pick 6 that lost the Elks club the game wasn't his fault. The other 2 picks were. Masoli looked good and bad too. We didn't give him much time to throw and Banks let him down a couple of times. BLM looked rusty to me and I've heard he's battling a groin injury which could have something to do with it. MBT and Collaros looked great. Top 2 QB's of the week.
  2. TSN direct is $99 for 6 months. It works pretty well on an Android TV box and you don't need a VPN to get around the region locking.
  3. I'm one of those who thought it was a mistake to bring him in and is firmly on the bandwagon now. Now... if he can just last the whole season.
  4. Campbell knew before the game that Reilly wouldn't start. He knew that Reilly was starting the 2nd half when he did the interview too. Riders owned the Lions. The second half was all garbage time. Faj-J-J looked good and the suspect O line held up against BC. Reilly threw 50-50 ducks for less than a half. All of them got caught, otherwise it wouldn't have been close. If BC had a decent FG kicker, they would have put a scare into the Riders, but they don't have one. If Reilly's done, then BC's done this year. Lousy game that looked like preseason, with a few great plays and a little bit of tension at the end.
  5. I didn't think that TSN did a good job at all. They still do interviews and ignore the game. They make comments like Collaros was really close to the LOS on the 50 yarder then don't show replay's. They talk over the refs calls. They go to ads then come back after penalty calls and don't bother to explain the call or the outcome. I didn't much like the new graphics either. The slider looks like the old 'flag' slider that indicated penalties. TSN is still bush league IMO.
  6. Collaros was great last night. Best trade we've made since we traded Brock for Clements way back in '84.
  7. 1. Collaros - His scrambling was THE reason the offence got started and THE reason for the big plays. 2. Oliveira - Hard running. Good vision. I'm not so worried about Harris being on the sidelines anymore. 3. D line - I like to pick a single player, but how do you do that when the whole line played great.
  8. We are best in the trenches, but losing Harris and Adams and having a rookie OC means that points could be hard to come by early on. Our D is way different than last year. We'll see how that works out especially early in the year as they try to come together. The rest of the West is pretty equal to us and each other. Not much difference among the top 4 and if BC can keep Reilly safe, they'll be in the mix too. Hopefully a lot of close hard fought games this year. The first few weeks are going to be ugly football with a lot of mistakes that will lead to some big plays. It's going to look a lot like preseason after such a long layoff. We won't know what we have or what other teams have until September IMO.
  9. Game day for the first time in a long while. I'm stoked! The traditional wings are getting tasty in the fridge and the Mikes are getting cold. Can't wait to watch the game.
  10. Respect is earned and MOS/PLAP got 1 2nd, 3 3rds, a 4th and a 5th which makes us a perennial mid-tier team with one great playoff run.
  11. Gotta go with someone who is playing against Ottawa so it's Derel Walker.
  12. Just cuz I'm not a kumbaya singing, blue coolaid drinking unicorn farting ranbows doesn't mean I'm a troll.
  13. Can't blame the national media. We've been 3rd or worse 7 of the last 8 years including last season.
  14. Not sure why AH would wear a knee brace for a calf injury.
  15. West: Bombers, Elks, Stamps, Riders, Lions East: Ticats, Als, Argos, redblacks
  16. Gotta say I'm liking these injury reports. Not sure I 100% believe them, but they are way better than we used to get.
  17. As I said in my post if other teams are doing it then it's because of the expanded rosters and 2 years of drafts as folks around here have suggested. If not, then that's not the reason. Calgary has receiver spots to fill. BC likes what they have at receiver so they didn't have a need to bring as many in. We like where we are at a DL, OL, LB, RB and Nat's, so we didn't need to bring in a ton of players at those spots. We brought in a ton of DB's because we have DB spots to fill. We obviously targeted the receiver spot because we brought in a ton of them. If you like what you have in a spot, why bring in that much competition?
  18. Did most CFL teams bring in 20+ receivers? Do teams who are happy with their receiving crew still have 16 or more receivers still on their roster? If most teams brought in around 20 and still have around 16 on their rosters, then the expanded TC capacity and 2 years of newbies is likely the answer. If not, then it's more likely that the Bombers specifically targeted the receiver spot, which would indicate a perceived need. (Like that better than 'unhappy with') Teams with spots to fill at receiver like Calgary bring in more competition and still have 16 left. Teams who are pretty happy with their receiving crew like the Lions bring in less competition and still have 11 left. You countered a fact based argument with a 'what if' argument like they are equal. They're not. Now you're taking one fact and suggesting that, by itself, it's dumb. That's debatable, but add in the number of receivers we brought in and the number still on the roster, and you can see how I came to my opinion. BTW: I'm not unhappy with our current receivers myself, but I can certainly see why the Bombers might want to bring in another play maker into the receiving corps.
  19. What dumb questions. Adams starts if he's able to. He's our deep threat, big play guy. If all incumbents start week one, then they won the competition. It doesn't mean that they aren't happy with our new receivers. My guess is that we'll have one receiver starting week one who wasn't with us last year. Try too hard guy.... Stamps have less receivers on their roster today than we do and they have obvious spots to fill. I haven't gone through every roster. Maybe someone who likes to do that can tell me how many teams brought in 20+ receivers this year.
  20. Another day another whine from the kid who tries too hard to be one of the cool kids. More posts about the poster than about the post. Sad. We brought in a ton of DB's cuz we have a couple of spots open. We brought in a ton of receivers, cuz we're happy with the incumbents. Sounds logical.
  21. 15 receivers = Kinda normal. 20+ = Looking for an upgrade.
  22. They are facts. Lets say you're right, still means that we're looking for an upgrade at the receiver spot.
  23. Yah, my bad. I did mean Mitchell.
  24. Not that I heard. He's older and expensive. Maybe he wasn't in shape? Maybe he wasn't worth the money they were paying him?
  25. 1. No thousand yard receivers in '19. 2. Brought in Mitchell as an upgrade. Great move. Sad to see him retire. 3. Brought in Meredith when Matthews retired. 4. There are still 17 receivers on the current roster. These 4 facts lead me to think they aren't all that happy with the current group.
