That's likely true, but in any case, you'd lose another import by designating Streveler as anything other than a QB.

Streveler is designated as a QB. If designate him as something other than a QB, he becomes a DI or a Import starter and you lose a different import from the team. You'd then have 2 designated QB's instead of 3.

They still need to win to get a home playoff game, so I doubt it changes their roster or their interest in winning the game.

With our NI group, the first round pick doesn't mean as much to us as a starting QB. In fact, it doesn't mean as much as a starting QB to Toronto or Ottawa either.

He's gonna be bummed before that, when Burnham takes the West MOP.

Arbuckle - Young with tons of upside. Looked great in Calgary's offence. Question is, will he look as good in another teams offence. Streveler - Young with a bunch of upside. Needs to learn to read defences quicker. Masoli - Expensive. Coming off a non-contact injury. Nichols - Average at best. Coming off of an injury to his throwing shoulder. Colaros - Was good 4 years ago. Huge concussion issues.

Still ignoring the level of competition Nichols faced I see.

Arbuckle/Streveler. I'm not interested in taking another chance on a journeyman QB coming off an injury on his throwing shoulder.

There is no trying... just work or don't work. If the rules don't work, then they aren't protecting them anyway.

They keep changing the rules to protect the QB's, yet QB's keep getting hurt. Almost like the rule changes aren't helping.

I agree that sometimes the obvious answer is the right one, but Nichols going down isn't the obvious answer. The obvious answer is we played bad teams in the first half of the year. Now that we're playing better teams, our offence and defence are getting exposed for who they really are.

I'd vote for Burhnam for MOP. He's been absolutely amazing this year.

IMO What we are seeing is growing pains with Streveler. Young QB's make more mistakes. More risk. More reward. More picks. More runs. Nichols didn't throw a good deep ball until this year. It's going to take time for Streveler to get there too.
