  1. Calgary has 12 home playoff games in the past 14 seasons. They likely have another this year too. We've had 1 home playoff game in 5 seasons. We likely don't get another one this year. Calgary won 12 playoff games in the last 14 seasons, including 3 Grey Cups. We've won 1 playoff game in 5 seasons and no Grey Cups. We aren't Calgary.
  2. The fact of the matter is your statement is pure conjecture. More of a dream than a fact. Calgary is the juggernaught in the West. In 2016 we lost in the playoffs to BC. In 2017 we lost in the playoffs to Edmonton. In 2018, we beat Saskatchewan with their backup QB, then lost to Calgary. That's 1 time in 5 seasons that we lost to the juggernaught team in the playoffs.
  3. Toronto and Ottawa are bad teams. We've played both twice and so have the Als. No advantage until the Als play them a 3rd time. MOS year 6 and Khari year 1 are both good teams. I'm comparing year 1 vs year 1. At 8-7 the Als are ahead of the Eskimos (8-8). That's the cross over and MOS didn't even get a cross over team in his first 2 years. I don't discount the first 2 years of the MOS regime. Yes he inherited a bad team, but so did Khari and he made chicken salad out of chicken ****.
  4. Not twisting anything. Just facts, that some folks don't like. Hamilton is the best team in the league this year and they are in the east. Als would make the playoffs year 1 even if they were in the west. It took MOS 3 seasons to win more than 8 games, which is where the Als are right now. Two of the Als last 3 games are against the Argos and the Redblacks, so not much of an advantage to being in the east until they play those two teams again. Als have beaten the Stamps, the Bombers and the Ticats this year.
  5. It took MOS 3 years to get a playoff game. 4 years to get to 2nd place. 5 years to win a playoff game. Khari inherited a mess this year. Late in the off season. No chance to hire his own coaching staff. Lost his GM too. He got his team in 2nd place year 1. A home playoff game. If he wins it, he's tied with MOS for playoff wins and he has a home playoff win, something that MOS most likely won't do in year 6.
  6. I wonder if the resurgence of our defence is because Hall hasn't been calling it and other teams know Hall's tendency's?
  7. You know it's not just this thread and the title of threads often has very little to do with their content, right?
  8. More Rider than Bomber banter around here these days. The Rider fans are living rent free in a bunch of poster's heads. Might as well change the name of the site to Morning Green Haters. How 'bout that Calgary game this week eh?
  9. Yes, Edmonton will be easier to beat when they don't have anything to play for and they don't have their starting QB. Yes, I think the Riders would have beaten Edmonton anyway. You gotta look at both sides of the equation. If we'd already played Calgary twice, like Regina has, instead of Edmonton, I'd bet we'd have 1 less win than we currently have.
  10. Sure, and the Riders most likely would have too.
  11. This game is like most before it. The formula is, stop our running game and force Streveler to beat us with his arm. Montreal failed miserably at it an lost. I wouldn't try to confuse BLM. He's seen everything before and will find holes very quickly. He'll beat the blitz more often than not, so I'd use it sparingly. Beating Calgary is the opposite of beating us. Force them to run the ball or BLM will beat you with his arm.
  12. I'm not sure what you're reading into my post. I said that beating bad teams early in the season, like we did, is the same as beating bad teams at the end of the season like the Riders most likely will.
  13. IMO the most likely scenario is: Wpg and Calgary split giving both teams 11 wins. Riders beat BC and Edm to get 12 wins. Calgary beats BC to get 12 wins. The 2nd Skn/Edm game decides first/second place. Wpg gets 3rd.
  14. BC isn't much better. They've just been beating truly bad teams (plus Montreal without Adams, a game they should have lost anyway) over the last month. Riders and Stamps would beat them with or without Reilly. Ottawa was lucky to win a couple early. They haven't been any good all season long. Not sure why you'd bring them up. Neither the Riders, nor the Stamps play them again anyway and 2 of the Redblacks wins were against Calgary and Regina. Edmonton was better early on. They still had problems scoring TD's even tho they were putting up huge passing numbers. Harris going down makes it easier to beat them now than it was before.
  15. I see very little difference between a bad team with something to play for and a bad team with nothing to play for. If we hadn't played the bad teams early, we wouldn't have the record we currently have.
  16. Winnipeg had the soft games early. Riders have them late. BC has been bad all season long. Losing Reilly doesn't change much, just makes it slightly easier to win.
  17. Probably the same guys who pick Nichols when we win.
  18. Man this is tedious. Just ignore him. He'll go away on his own.
  19. I thought that was an interesting call. Twisting a guys ankle has happened several times this year. When caught it's been a 15 yard penalty. Last night it was 25 and an ejection. Sounds like they are sending a message that it won't be tolerated anymore, which is good IMO.
  20. Calgary and Regina both have a game in hand so it would be Cal, SSK, Wpg.
  21. It's not about entitlement or having to be told what to think. There's a difference between not giving up information that may be useful to other teams and directly lying to the Media. MOS directly, unabashidly, and confidently lies. Kinda Trump like.
  22. Never understood why anyone believes anything MOS says to the media. Dude lies to them all the time.
  23. Maybe Bridge was one of the 'vet' QB's. On FB, someone wondered if this means that Streveler is hurt.
  24. Collaros isn't any better this year than those guys and we'll start Streveler in the playoffs anyway, unless he's hurt.
  25. What's the over/under of Collaros lasting a full game? 6 plays? 7? More or less? Yup... I hate this trade, not for what we gave up, but for what we got in return. I'd rather have Franklin, Jennings, even Bridge as the backup to Streveler and yes I know none of them are any good, but they can all last a game or two if needed.
