  1. What the heck are you even talking about? I didn't ignore either Masoli's or Evans Int and what does Rose have to do with Masoli vs Evans anyway? I'm sure I'm not the only fan who thought that we'd surely win when Masoli went down.
  2. And then there were 3... Nichols, Harris and Reilly are the only starting QB's left standing this year and Reilly's been taking a beating.
  3. Masoli is a top QB. Evans isn't even close to being a starter, let alone a top CFL QB. It's ridiculous to ignore the change of QB as a reason our defence suddenly looked better. I'll go even further.... If Masoli stayed healthy, we'd have lost the game big time considering the number of times we gave the ball away.
  4. Masoli was 4 of 4 then ran 20+ yards for a TD. He owned our defence on the first drive. He completed an 11 yard pass on the second set of downs before he got injured. 6 out of 7 with 1 int, 87% completion, 59 yards in 1 drive + 1 play. Evans played like the young backup QB he is. Barely 50% passing for under 100 yards and a pick. The defence didn't change. The QB did.
  5. It's no surprise that the defence started playing a lot better once Masoli went out.
  6. If you want to get your confidence back, the Argos are the team to play.
  7. I'd have pulled Nichols after his 3rd int. Streveler may not have won it for us, but he'd get some great experience and his running ability might have made some difference.
  8. Harris Sayles Woli HH - Adams
  9. I honestly don't worry at all about O'Shea leaving. He's got it pretty good in Winnipeg. We stuck by him when most other organizations wouldn't have and he's a loyal guy. I could see PLAP leaving for an HC job this off season tho.
  10. IIRC we're staying in Ontario for the week. With Matthews not making the flight does that mean he isn't practising this week and not playing again next week or is he flying out after the game?
  11. Streveler
  12. Is is better if I say we've won 4 out of our 5 games against 3 of the bottom 4 teams in the league to take into account that folks think Regina is worse than Ottawa? As for never admitting when I'm wrong... Not true. I grossly over estimated how good BC would be this year and I changed my mind once I saw them play. For a Bomber reference.. I didn't think Nichols would get back to 2017 form and he has.
  13. https://globalnews.ca/news/5667393/winnipeg-blue-bombers-chris-matthews-stabbed-at-downtown-restaurant/ "Matthews has been placed on the one-game injured list. When an athlete is on an injured list, he is not obligated to talk to media."
  14. 25 out of 25 people in this weeks poll are picking Ottawa to lose to Calgary and I haven't voted yet. It looks like everyone thinks that Ottawa is bad.
  15. You keep saying that like it's what I've been saying, which of course isn't true. (See Dilbert Cartoon)
  16. Agree to disagree on Ottawa. One of their 2 wins is smoke and mirrors. They shouldn't have beaten Calgary, especially considering Davis threw 4 Ints. 3rd preseason game IMO. Riders aren't very good, but they're better than Ottawa. Bombers beat 1 quality team so far, Edmonton. I'm looking forward to this weeks game to see how we do against another good team.
  17. The standard I set was for the bottom teams, not for the Bombers who I've consistently had at #1. The combined record for Ottawa, BC and Toronto is 3-12. One of those games was between TO and BC so one team had to get a win. They are the 3 worst teams in the league right now and no... it's not just cuz we played them. Hamilton, Calgary, Regina and Montreal are all better than Ottawa, BC and Toronto. It may not make them good teams, but they are better than the teams we've played except for Edmonton.
  18. Funny that you recognize that beating bad teams doesn't mean that much when it comes to Calgary, but not when it comes to Winnipeg. I'll restate. There are 2 good teams Bombers and Ticats, 3 2nd tier teams and the rest a bad.
  19. Bombers, Ticats, Eskimos, Stamps (Even without BLM), maybe and surprisingly Montreal.
  20. Also the only game we've played against a good team.
  21. Nichols - 19 in a row Jefferson - All over the field Lawler HH: Peterson
  22. Fixing the fans in the stands issue won't happen using old technologies. Blackouts? Even if they could, anyone under the age of 60 could find a work around. No one reads local papers or watches local TV to get their sports fix. It's the internet age. You can't move the stadium. Public transport only goes so far and most stadiums already have it anyway. Increasing ticket, parking, booze, food prices to make up the losses actually hurts attendance. The CFL ignored an entire generation while watching it's fan base get older and older. They're paying for that now.
  23. I can't believe people are still arguing about where the stadium is. Wait for 30 years then argue about where the new one should go.
