We got some younger NI OL who should be ready to go if we lose an OL. Same can't be said for losing Loffler.

Maybe Elizondo wasn't upset, but PLAP was. -

The only reason that PLAP would be pissed is if he actually wanted to interview for the job. That would tell me that his 'I don't want the Toronto job cuz I don't get to choose my coaches' really meant 'I can see the writing on the wall, they ain't going to offer me the job'. I'd be interested to know the contract wording. I'd guess their aren't any dates attached to being able to interview for a better job. It certainly didn't stop Jones from taking another job at this time of the off season. -

IF PLAP's contract allows him to interview for HC jobs and the Bombers stopped him, I can understand why he'd be pissed. It could bite us in the but later on if we aren't following contractual obligations. Someone on that other site said that PLAP's twitter feed had all Bombers references and our colours removed and hour or two ago and his tagline as Bombers OC removed. I just checked and the Bombers OC is back (If it was ever gone), but no Bomber colours if they were ever there. Personally, I'd let him interview if he wants to. It's better to give him a shot than to say no, even at this time of year. I wouldn't want to be the team that's known for not following contracts or not allowing coaches to interview for better jobs. -

I went Brown and Helton. Never saw Tinsley play. -
Add Leggett to the list.

I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that happens. 😀 -
Excellent signing. Full time job from BOD member looks like the clincher. Yes, it's a way to pay players under the table and outside the SMS. Yes. It's good business. Yes. It's good to let players know that we can and will find ways to get them paid. No, I don't think Bighill signs with us right now without it. His CFL salary would be very similar no matter where he played. It's a good day in Bomberland.

The #1 priority should be the CBA. Get that done, then look at selling the CFL in other countries. -

Ed Tait - @EdTaitWFC The #Bombers select DB Sergio Schiaffino. Stands 5-9, weighs 175. Tempted to say here I’m shocked he fell this far in the draft and was still available. 😀 My favourite tweet on the subject. -

Sure it takes 2 sides to negotiate, but they both have to sit down together to get anything done. Those meetings are usually called by the folks with the money who make an offer, not the union. -

Medlock's the biggest name player who has signed so far. The top players, their agents, and the GM's are all waiting to see how much the SMS is going to be. I agree with SpeedFlex on this one... this negotiation should have already started in earnest. I'd like to have seen it done before FA day on February 15. -
I'm absolutely certain that Walters has a better idea of the SMS than you or I do. That being said, I don't trust your gut one iota.
-
That's not the choice we're making. Lots of places to reduce our SMS. Leggett, Flanders, LaFrance, Dressler, Neuf, etc.

Darrin Bauming @DarrinBauming Randle made $135k in 2018, including bonuses, and was set to make more in 2019. For reference Fenner, who only got 3 starts, was at $130K according to 3DownNation, Still one of the top guys statistically. Ted Wyman @Ted_Wyman #Bombers have released veteran cornerback Chris Randle, one of their best defensive players for the last few years. Lions coach Devone Claybrooks told me he thinks Randle is the best boundary corner in the #CFL Maybe he's gonna be a Lion next year.
-
Leggett had to go. I was against signing him last year because of his injuries and age. Randle on the other hand played well last year. I think he'll get a chance to prove us wrong on another team this year. It will be interesting to see who replaces him and how well that guy does in our defense.

I'd like to see what Jennings looks like in Dickenson's offense. Great coaching and receivers would elevate his game IMO. -

Jones spit on players. That's not an insult. It's part of who Jones was. -

I notice that everyone on your list, except Burris are below average QB's who aren't exactly known for taking responsibility for their own actions. I do remember all of them having bad games and Burris calling the panel out at halftime of one game, but that's not after a loss. I still don't remember any of them talking about how well they thought they played after a loss or even a poor performance. I'd lump Nichols in with Glenn, Jennings, Bridge and Willy too, but that's not high praise. -

Can you provide an example of any other CFL QB's talking about how they thought they played well after a loss? Reilly, for example, always talks about what HE needs to do better after a loss, even if he's thrown for 300+ yards and the game was lost by the defense. -

Most players likely don't look at the cost of living. They are only in town for 6 months. They stay with other players, not by themselves. They get help from 'boosters'. They get invited out. They get their drinks paid for at bars. All players on their first contract have zero choice where they go. Once they've had a couple of years in a place it's more like 'home' than another CFL city, unless it's actually home. If I was 20 something, I'd rather go to BC or Montreal or even Toronto than some prairie town that's a bit cheaper.
