  1. Take it easy… there are a few thousand Bombers fans in the province today, they don’t deserve such vitriol…
  2. I discovered that you can share a photo that is hosted on Facebook if that’s any help.
  3. My guess, the new owner cares about winning and building for the future and would be willing to pay a salary cap fine if it meant getting more butts in seats and a better gameday experience for his fans. $100 000 fine would be worth a playoff appearance if you ask me.
  4. How long before a jealous greenie starts asking if he's juicing?
  5. Love the Wunderkind reference. Just re-watched that Ted Lasso episode with my wife last night.
  6. I agree, BA back for Banjo bowl is 2 x 6 game stints, I don't think they bring him back and lose the salary relief available. if my memory serves me right you can practice a week earlier than coming off the 6 game without any salary penalty. Banjo Bowl makes the most sense.
  7. Mostly coaches jumping up and down and pointing to go forward down the field with a great deal of emphasis as opposed to the catch and kneel that they do to take a knee. Think of the arm motion the fans use with the announcer goes "another first down" lots of that directed at the returner before the kick.
  8. With the way Walters has traditionally managed the cap and the number of guys that have spent time on the 6 game list I feel like we have money for any / everyone we want.
  9. Oh crap TBurg agreed with me, either the Bombers are screwed or I need an appointment at the lobotomy clinic…
  10. The Criders are 6 & 5 this year. Who have they beat? BC without a quarter back is the only team above .500. Their record is not outstanding and even suggesting that they are as good a team as Calgary I think is ridiculous. Their wins are Hamilton, Edmonton twice, Montreal, Ottawa and BC without a QB. They've also lost to Montreal, Toronto twice and BC twice. Any week but Labour Day I would be extremely confident that we win this game, as it is I am still confident we will handle our business (With or without help from the Refs...).
  11. Sorry, I didn't mean financially I meant in terms of respect, whether from the NFL establishment or football fans in general that aren't Bomber fans.
  12. When you watch these post game speeches when time after time after time Saleh has been propping up Strevy, there is no way he retains any credibility with his team if Strevy isn't on it. Look at the excitement of his team mates, this guy is on the team and hopefully sees some game action and shoves some balls up the a$$es of the doubters and haters. Has their been anyone that works harder for so little? Not that I know of.
  13. SOB, with moving and the return to work I missed submitting my pics.
  14. My biggest question is now that I have moved to the country and "cut the cord" where do I stream the games? Is the best bet to pony up the $19.99 for the TSN app or is there a better source? Using a Firestick and not super tech savvy (although I did manage to set up my own Starlink and mesh network without help...)
  15. Overall, great game, great game day experience. "Lucky" to pull out the win? I say no, the stumps were lucky that they looked to be in it. Sure, not everyone had their best game of the year but there were enough plays being made that I never really doubted the outcome. It was a pretty good laugh coming back here this morning and reading thru the comments being made during the game. Wow, we have some fans that have little faith and are ready to give up at the slightest adversity, I am glad they aren't on the field or sidelines. While my travel distance more than doubled this was the first time I made it home before the post game ended, a very quick game and exit from the building. To the guy driving the F150 on the East/North Perimeter, I didn't see what you hit but good job controlling your truck and getting to the centre out of the path of cars quickly and safely. On the other hand, wifey is pissed that later I didn't see the dead skunk on the ground and her car got smelly...
  16. The punt singles are different stories, the second one for sure Taylor was told to bring it our but he didn't understand that signals they were giving him from the sidelines. I could clearly see coaches signaling before the kick that it had to come out.
  17. My wife's family built one of the original cottages on Grand Circle and we had hoped to build a year round place on that lot. Unfortunately it was too flood prone and the cost of mitigation made it not feasible. We always knew we would be here sometime but figured it wouldn't be until retirement. With the pandemic and more companies being open to WFH we've been able to make it a reality now. We weren't seriously looking but the right place came up and here we are. Very thankful and lucky that we were able to pull it off, buying this one, selling ours, moving and surrendering possession of ours all in under 8 weeks.
  18. We have a previous stint in Selkirk to draw from, HWY 8 is always my preference. If I need car work done out here I will see Terry at the Petersfield Garage, but I appreciate the input. Always good to know who's in the 'hood.
  19. Are the gates open yet? LFG!!!
  20. Tomorrow will be 1 week that we've been here, the only drawback I have found so far is leaving to go work in the city. If this forum had an easy way of sharing images I would show you my view this morning, let's just say watching the fog burn of the creek as the sun rises behind you is a decent way to start the day. (Actually figured out that you can share on Facebook and then insert the image here.)
  21. I believe opposite ends of the marsh but still closer than many in the city.
  22. We moved out just past Clandeboye, have the luxury of waterfront living but it will suck for Thursday game nights.
  23. The game will be what the game is. My only fear is getting home after; now that we moved more than twice as far away from the stadium as we were. Friday morning is going to suck after not getting home until close to 1am.
  24. Hopefully before Labour Day.
  25. Parades longest this year is 53 yards, also his career longest. It took 12 years in the league to hit that distance. How many years did Calgary limit the length of his attempts? He has he not missed as many game losing kicks as Leggs this year? Too much focus/pressure is being placed on one games kicking misadventures.
