  1. Relieved to have been able to get my second dose of AZ today. Other than that I am just sick of what this has turned us into. Never in my life have I ever seen such divisiveness in action (pro sports fandom aside). What once was thought to be a moment that could draw us all closer as we work to defeat a common enemy has become the opposite. We can’t see those we want too and we have seen sides of so many that makes us never want to see them again. Im so over all the BS and blaming by all sides has really turned me off society in general.
  2. Waking up after a short nap and man that was glorious. KFC for the win was a thing of beauty. Likely what I liked best was the incredible play by the oft maligned Pionk to check McDavid and pass it up the boards to Connor. Well Done P.
  3. This late start time is killing me!!
  4. That is how she wants you to read it and believe. Evidence is out that the ceremony happened at 11:30am. Lots of time to get to the Leg after. Having now deleted her MLA Facebook page doesn’t look good on her innocence.
  5. We don’t actually know she wasn’t there. So far she has denied that any evidence of her being there. I’m going to bet she was.
  6. Probably the most depressing thing of this whole pandemic is the realization that people really don’t care about doing the right thing and really are selfish a$$holes.
  7. Fewer people getting sick would lower the TPR no matter how many people are tested. The function of TPR as a metric to is even out the fluctuation in overall tests completed. I have often stated that our TPR is likely overstated as we have strict testing guidelines and only test symptomatic people but comparing our numbers to our numbers is still valid. I would have to go back to confirm but I am pretty sure most weeks we see lower test rates on Monday and lower case numbers on Tuesday.
  8. Our 8 yr old is hoping desperately to be able to get one soon and he HATES needles.
  9. These numbers initially are very encouraging until you look at the others that go with. Only 2893 tests completed so TPR does move, we need numbers like this or better with 4000 tests completed and then I will start to get excited.
  10. One day I will have to check out Tee-yah’s. I usually get mine bootlegged directly to me from a friend in Topeka where the factory is.
  11. I have no idea why they have flour, as a Celiac I was quite surprised when my son read the package and told me. If you ever come across the “coffee nut” M&M’s they are likely the best flavour ever created. The Jalpeno not so much...
  12. Not only are the flavourless ever since they went to natural colouring but they also have flour in the WTF? M&M’s rule!!!
  13. They must have opened up a bunch of spaces at RBC, when it went to 24+ earlier in the week they were booking as far as the 28th. The earliest my son could book was the 22nd in Selkirk.
  14. It is a legit warning and is required. I have some American friends east of the Mississippi that are worried about shortages because of the Ransomware Attack on the Colonial Pipeline. One of them shared a pic of a local WAWA station where a guy was filling large plastic garbage cans lined with garbage bags with gas.
  15. I believe you can walk up to some of them but if you want an appointment call them number and talk to someone. They can look for available slots for you without cancelling your existing, online you have to cancel the existing before searching for other dates.
  16. Likely all tied to number of tests completed. Saturday 4234 Sunday 3787 Monday 2920
  17. My 24yr just booked his first dose in Selkirk on May 22nd.
  18. Now that you mention it this does seem plausible, it would go along with the rapid dropping of age eligibility. They really do have a messaging problem and have throughout the pandemic. For instance today I was having a conversation with one of the before and after school staff that I have had before. There is a bit of a prevailing attitude that the government has ignored them and left them out to dry. I reminded them that the government continues to provide full funding to the centre despite us operating at 50%,that they have all been fully paid during the shut downs unless they asked for the time off. In response to “we should have been a higher prior for vaccines” I ask if any one has been sick with COVID and suggest that the fact they we were not included as a high risk zone as a complement and evidence that they have done an amazing job keeping everyone safe.
  19. Here is my take, likely not the most popular opinion but is based on my observations at a couple school yards and parks that I pass through daily. In school / daycare isn’t a major concern as it is. Young kids with full supervision tend to obey the rules and sanitize regularly. Transmission is happening in older years because kids hang out. Around school, at the park anywhere they can. Always unsupervised, often massless and certainly social distant as the suck face on the picnic table. In many ways it seems that this full closure was done just to appease all the people asking and demanding that they do something. It won’t really do anything to bend the curve back down, we’ll see a decrease in cases mostly from more and more people getting vaccinated. I expect MB will do the same no later than Friday.
  20. As the parent of a grade 3 student I am torn on this decisions. He didn’t suffer academically last year during remote learning but the social struggle and isolation was very hard on him I am just hoping that in 3 weeks we are sending him back to school and he gets to reconnect sooner than last year. As one of the board members of a before and after school program I am not excited about the flurry of parent inquiries over the next couple of days. Thankfully the centre is allowed to be open and all our staff will be able to be paid. I am thankful that we have pre-planned what parents classify as critical and whose kids will still attend.
  21. F this guy!!! https://www.reddit.com/r/Winnipeg/comments/n872v2/tobias_tissen_sunday_church_service/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
  22. Manitoba announced they will start booking 2nd dose appointments May 22 they day after all residents age 12+ become eligible to book. Appointments won’t begin immediately but will run concurrently with first dose appointments. Priority list will be released later but all immuno compromised will be near the top. All second doses should be complete by end of July.
  23. I suspect they realized it can’t be done in a day and will be announced next week. I hope as someone said Elementary stays in person and all other go remote. Although I. Not really convinced it does anything. Make this kids remote and they will gather and socialize more...
  24. Who would you consider proper leadership? I'm just wondering as I can't think of any on the municipal, provincial or federal level that I would like to hand the reigns too. I am beginning to think that The Visitors might be our only hope at this point.
  25. I was working next to a McD’s in Thunder Bat in 95, they still had the pizza there after it left MB. I used to get it quite often, nothing like pizza with a side of fries.
