  1. But Reaves didn’t skate a great distance and have momentum... /s
  2. Look on the bright side Scheifele won’t have to take the beating Edmundson is so excited to give him.
  3. 4 letters? I hear lots of “dude” and “brah”, those have 4 letters.
  4. Harder than the remote learning is all the other screen time. Thankfully not all of it is youtube videos of the current nonsense fad and some of it is interaction with classmates but OMG I am tired of 8yr old speak in the background while I am trying to work. (Facebook tip, take a picture of the fam at the beginning of the day and then share it at the end as another day in the books photo...)
  5. 100% ordering an Ehlers jersey once I am over my disappointment in the team last night.
  6. My 8 yr old is doing okay, his parents... It definitely is harder on us than last year. There is much more structured learning and takes more effort from both of us to make it happen. My wife has been WFH since last March but that doesn't allow her much time to supervise his learning. I have returned to WFH 4 out of 5 days a week to try and help wit his learning but my work is suffering and all of us need a mental health break. 8 year old needs to see his friends and have interaction that isn't a screen and parents need to see some other walls and talk to other people. Seeing some mountains or the ocean would do wonders for us.
  7. I didn’t spot the incident but early in the game Perry or someone did something to 55 and he was pissed. His eyes got crazier and crazier as the night went on. Maurice has to notice that his player has changed and do something to bring him back down. That expression on Schielf’s face after the hit tells me he was proud of that hit in the moment. Dude doesn’t deserve to play again this year.
  8. We’ve had to modify out agreement a little. The suspension of our friendship doesn’t start until puck drop. Having too much fun mocking the Laffs this morning.
  9. My best friend for the last 25 years lives in Toronto but has been a lifelong Habs fan. Until a short while ago we cheered for the same teams. Now we have agreed to put our friendship on hold until we can cheer together again.
  10. I just watched the latest live stream from WAM and am dumber for it.
  11. Do you have a source for Tobias being in custody? WAM is broadcasting that he was prepared to surrender and no one showed up.
  12. Yes I am aware. I am also aware that millions of people around the world have had AZ on a 28 day cycle and they seem satisfied with their protection.I am aware that we have no AZ doses scheduled to be available when I am 12 to 14 weeks after first dose. So in all likelihood I would be getting a second dose of something else. I also know that I am slightly more at risk for the next 10 weeks without that second dose and now I will not be. It is of great benefit to my family and the others I shop for that I won’t need to isolate if I am exposed to a case. I also know that there are doses of vaccine going in the garbage on Tuesday and it is better in my arm that the trash. Finally, I refuse to be a hypocrite suggesting that the USA needs to move their stockpile to countries that need it more while allowing doses here to be tossed out because they expired.
  13. I’m not telling you what you should or shouldn’t do but I am only 4 1/2 weeks from first dose. There are dozens to hundreds of doses of AZ in pharmacies and clinics that is going to expire on Monday and be thrown out. Call your Dr, call pharmacies and find one with doses and discuss pros/cons of getting it now not in 8 weeks. If you have any health concerns that make you more vulnerable or if you can benefit by the extra protection now get one of those shots before they expire. As for the concern that AZ is most effective the longer you wait my decision not to wait was partially based on the idea that we will almost certainly be looking at a 3rd or booster dose going forward. That should balance any potential “loss of protection” from not waiting the extra weeks. Also the manufacturer still says 28 days, 12 weeks is other studies and not truly endorsed by the vaccine maker.
  14. Relieved to have been able to get my second dose of AZ today. Other than that I am just sick of what this has turned us into. Never in my life have I ever seen such divisiveness in action (pro sports fandom aside). What once was thought to be a moment that could draw us all closer as we work to defeat a common enemy has become the opposite. We can’t see those we want too and we have seen sides of so many that makes us never want to see them again. Im so over all the BS and blaming by all sides has really turned me off society in general.
  15. Waking up after a short nap and man that was glorious. KFC for the win was a thing of beauty. Likely what I liked best was the incredible play by the oft maligned Pionk to check McDavid and pass it up the boards to Connor. Well Done P.
  16. This late start time is killing me!!
  17. That is how she wants you to read it and believe. Evidence is out that the ceremony happened at 11:30am. Lots of time to get to the Leg after. Having now deleted her MLA Facebook page doesn’t look good on her innocence.
  18. We don’t actually know she wasn’t there. So far she has denied that any evidence of her being there. I’m going to bet she was.
  19. Probably the most depressing thing of this whole pandemic is the realization that people really don’t care about doing the right thing and really are selfish a$$holes.
  20. Fewer people getting sick would lower the TPR no matter how many people are tested. The function of TPR as a metric to is even out the fluctuation in overall tests completed. I have often stated that our TPR is likely overstated as we have strict testing guidelines and only test symptomatic people but comparing our numbers to our numbers is still valid. I would have to go back to confirm but I am pretty sure most weeks we see lower test rates on Monday and lower case numbers on Tuesday.
  21. Our 8 yr old is hoping desperately to be able to get one soon and he HATES needles.
  22. These numbers initially are very encouraging until you look at the others that go with. Only 2893 tests completed so TPR does move, we need numbers like this or better with 4000 tests completed and then I will start to get excited.
  23. One day I will have to check out Tee-yah’s. I usually get mine bootlegged directly to me from a friend in Topeka where the factory is.
  24. I have no idea why they have flour, as a Celiac I was quite surprised when my son read the package and told me. If you ever come across the “coffee nut” M&M’s they are likely the best flavour ever created. The Jalpeno not so much...
  25. Not only are the flavourless ever since they went to natural colouring but they also have flour in the WTF? M&M’s rule!!!
