  2. PaMa lives another day!
  3. Better effort tonight. Glad to eat my words...if this lead holds that is.
  4. Lol if I knew how to post gifs on my phone I would have added that to my post...
  5. And the pocket presence of Hans Moleman.
  6. We are the free spot on the bingo card.
  7. 40 years from now we will just teleport into our seats 5 minutes before game time.
  8. The only way this team will ever be a Dynasty is if Wheeler changes his last name to "Carrington"....
  9. Imagine if Matt had focused his full attention on the game! Lol
  10. What's Torts doing these days?
  11. I'm way way too lazy to calculate salary caps. Someone else can do that. I can't stand Blake Wheeler any more, he's just not the same player. $10 million a year for nothing really. I think that's on Chevy. But does Chevy AND Maurice have to go? Chipman must be losing his crap right now.
  12. we don't know what is going on inside the team or the dressing room so it's tough to speculate as to why these guys are playing so bad. The coach almost always has to take the fall, no matter what, just the law of the jungle.
  13. I think the PaMa era is just about over.
  14. I also found toilet plungers to be useless there too.
  15. come November that's the only way I remember drinking beer at football games, or elsewhere, on the Prairies. Now of course since I've moved to the Worker's Paradise of BC I have different expectations...
  16. I watched that Fred Reid game in BC live. It also was not a playoff game. But it was fun to be there. Fred would have had more yards but he got injured, and then Kelly put him back into the game after only two plays had happened, and then Fred went on a long run (and I think scored a TD), and so Wally threw a flag for illegal participation and the play was wiped out, snuffing out even more yards that Fred would have had that night. Wally was right to throw the challenge flag, though I thought it was kind of a **** move.
  17. Same - except that I had a Zoroastrian named Vilma do it for me.
  18. My childhood was typical: summers in Steinbach... luge lessons... When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds — pretty standard, really.
  19. Not much exists online of the memory of Jack Skelly. I can't be the only one who remembers that guy, who entertained us for so many years on the East side. "Gimme a B!!!" was his call to start us off, and then we'd sound out the entire "Bombers" as thousands of "East Side low income scum" as the West Siders thought of us would respond in unison. It was magic. Here's the only thing I can find online: Jack had many interests, mostly his obsession for football, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (east side) and the struggling Vikings. Jacks zest for life was contagious. His ability to make people laugh was uncanny even if it was at his own expense, making him the focal point of most gatherings. Words cannot express the love and joy he brought to everyone around him. He was a wonderful role model and he will be sadly missed by all. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 10 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Burton Cummings Theatre, 364 Smith with service at 8:00 p.m. Private family interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Jack to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or the Canadian Diabetes Association, Manitoba Division. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the family, friends and neighbours for all their loving care and support given to Jack and his family. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 LAGIMODIERE BLVD. 982-7550 https://passages.winnipegfreepress.com/passage-details/id-73258/SKELLY_JACK
