  1. Ask yourself - would any of those three Ti-Cats be able to crack the Bombers defensive roster? Santos-Knox played here a few years ago IIRC, but he wouldn't cut it in this line up now. And that ****** Lawrence wouldn't last five minutes in the Bomber locker room, he'd be FIFO'd right out the door.
  2. it goes with what a lot of sports pundits have saying all season - the Bombers don't have to be perfect to win, but those hoping to win against the Bombers have to be darn near perfect to beat them. When you are playing the Bombers, you can't miss 36 yard field goals. You need every point to count.
  3. After having re-watched the second half last night, I'd like to give a star to the Rider kicker Brett Lauther for missing that easy 36 yard field goal, that Grant ended up almost taking back to the house. Also - a star to Janarion for taking that ball out of the end zone and denying the Riders that single point which would play a huge role later. That easy miss and big return definitely turned the momentum of the game around and also denied the Riders three points at a critical juncture of the game. Huge TSN turning point in my view. Thank you Brett for choking!
  4. We didn't have Andrew Harris in the regular season against Hamilsmell. Although Brady had a great game, so not sure how much more Harris would have done. In the playoffs though, having a healthy and motivated Andrew Harris in the lineup is huge. Also - Janarion Grant was hurt pretty early in that game too and we had Nelson handling most of the returns after that. What a difference Grant makes. Always a threat to break one for a score.
  5. I wasn't around during the Bud Grant era so my point of reference would be more like Cal Murphy and Tom Clements, but I'm sure the older fans here who lived through both eras would let you know which one would be closer in nature.
  6. Between 1957 and 1962 Winnipeg went to the Cup five times in six years. And they won the Cup 4 out of those 5 times. And who did they beat all 4 times? Hamilton.
  7. That was actually Brandon but thanks for the shout-out!
  8. whoops - my bad - see you "tomorrow" I guess is what Bob said. My mistake.
  9. I listened to some of the post game and Bob said to O'Shea "see you on Tuesday" so there will be a coaches show this week at least. Definitely should be one to finish the year as well.
  10. also if it had been a second down instead of a third down. Over-turning that call, albeit the right call to make, would probably have handed the game to the Bombers, and obviously the command center didn't have the cajones to do the right thing.
  11. I re-watched and paused that Duke "catch" yesterday, going over it at least 10 times, and it's clear as day you can see the tip of the ball hit the ground. It's not even close. Someone needs to be fired over that call, that's beyond incompetence.
  12. WBFB - do we keep tradition going and get into a massive online fight again and both get suspended like we did the week before Grey Cup 2019? Or do we sit back and enjoy this Grey Cup run and just talk football? I know I'd prefer the latter but I also don't want to mess with what worked for the Bombers last time 😁....also - man does that seem like a long time ago....
  13. Watching his teeth chattering away in the post-game interview he probably was wondering how much he truly "loves" playing here in the late fall/winter lol. Hopefully next year the league goes back to a regular schedule as games in December in Canada just don't make much sense....
  14. Was Hansen playing yesterday? I didn't recall seeing him anywhere on the field, but perhaps I was too focused on biting my nails to notice...
  15. Happy Honker to Sara Orlesky for standing on that sideline freezing all game, including doing the post game interviews in that wind chill, AND THEN heading over to the arena to work the Jets game. They grow em pretty tough in Winnipeg....lol...
  16. I agree. Especially in those kinds of conditions when the ball is a frozen slippery brick to begin with. When Bailey caught that ball I was yelling at my screen "GO DOWN!!" because I could see the same thing happening to Bailey as happened to Woli, and sure enough, in comes number zero on the Riders and punches out the ball. If you have first down, just go down on first contact, don't let the second man come in and punch out the ball.
  17. They are also saying that CoFaj outplayed Collaros. Yup, CoFaj was on fire yesterday all right...🙄
  18. yeah I can see that it would have been a giant pain to get your phones out in that weather, no worries. I don't think it would matter if Bomber fans had video of Duke trying to stick a shiv into Alexander on the sidelines, the CFL wouldn't do anything anyway. Onward and upward! Cup #12 time!
  19. yes, I'm glad the Bombers survived that disgusting missed call. There might have been rioting in the streets otherwise.
  20. I realize that it was freezing but do you think anyone had the wherewithal to haul out their phone and get some video?
  21. I re-watched the last few minutes of the first half. BA hits Faj as he is sliding, and the Riders aren't happy about it. Next possession with 9 seconds left I saw Duke holding BA's head and talking into his ear hole. Then when the half is over, you see Faj and a bunch of Riders suddenly start running towards something, but there is no real explanation as to what is going on, as they cut to Duthie and Barker in the end zone. So we really had no idea what was going on for those watching on TV.
