2019 CFL Season: Around the League
I still think O'Shea, if he sticks to his guns, could one day be as great as chief justice Warren Burger....

don't even get Speedflex going on 1972. Thankfully I was still blissfully unaware of football at that point in my life....it wasn't until 1982 that I really tasted the bitterness of being screwed over in the playoffs....

WSF: Bombers @ Stamps
Imagine if the Bombers had had the brains/foresight to bring in Hufnagel back in the mid 2000's instead of going with napkin boy Taman and then "Handled Internally" guy in 2009. Wow, just wow.

yes with Calgary it really comes down to which team makes the fewer mistakes. I still think last year we were one completed Streveler to Harris pass away from going to the Grey Cup, in what would have been a pretty weak opponent to overcome. This year we're probably playing Hamilton in the Cup, and that's going to be a toughie. For anyone in the West.

Anyone catch any of the South Africa/England rugby game? England was supposed to destroy SA and instead SA came out and just punched England in the mouth, continuously, for the entire game, and England didn't know what to do. I think this Bomber team can do that. Three games. Just go out there and punch the other guys in the mouth. It's amazing what you can achieve if it all comes down to one game to get by an opponent, unlike hockey where you can have a bad game or two, and still recover.

Our QB's name is spelled ZACH COLLAROS
His favorite stuffed animal growing up was a bear known affectionately as "Cuddles". NOW we can all sleep better.

Our QB's name is spelled ZACH COLLAROS
According to Wikipedia his full name is "Zachary J. Collaros".

we were spoiled in Winnipeg as Dieter was like a Timex - he took a licking but kept on ticking. Rarely would he get injured. Same with most QB's (other than Clements). I don't recall any head-shots in those days either, now it seems like there are 4 or 5 a game.

The trouble with Collaros is the same thing that plagued Clements - very injury prone. If you want to bet the farm on Collaros you need a Hufnagel-esque back-up that you know is going to be playing half the season while your QB is rehabbing injuries.

darn you beat me to it - I was going to say that I thought for a minute that Collaros should be renamed Zach Clements from now on. That throw to Darvin was vintage Clements all the way. Now we just got to get Collaros connecting with Peterman and Wolipoplawski and we are good to go for another GC.

GDT - Stamps @ Bombers
Without having to wade through 27 pages, just curious what BLM was pointing at on his arm? Seemed pretty douchey, whatever he was doing.

It's too bad this isn't the usual late season game where Calgary starts all of their bums because the game means nothing. Argh...

Week of Stamps @ Bombers
I am trying to figure out why we don't have colonies on Mars by now. What are we waiting for? Arnie just needs to turn on the machine, and they'll have an atmosphere in minutes...

I now know how the winds are blowing, and just got my biggest lead indicator. I now "love" this trade.

The Environment Thread
LOL - that video was indeed hilarious. We have to eat the babies!! Oh man the look on that whack-job AOC's face was just priceless.

I agree. This is why I like Scheer's environmental plan, instead of just wantonly taxing people. Blackface boy just doesn't get it.

I know how carbon offsets work. I also know that there is no excuse for wanton wastefulness, especially coming from someone as virtuous as Blackface boy. Making excuses for his crappy behavior really shows who the real environmentalists are here. And that seems to be me! Even though I honestly don't think there is much to the theory of man-made climate change to begin with. Either you care about the environment, and try to curb your activity, or you don't care. There is no middle ground. Blackface boy is a hypocrite.

agree to disagree. Being actually responsible and less wasteful trumps by a mile being a total pig and then buying indulgences. Pollution is still pollution, no matter how you slice it. Blackface boy is once again the hypocrite here.

Don Martin: The knight in shining armour falls hard from his high horse Roughly ten years ago, I had lunch with then-backbench MP Justin Trudeau to pitch him on a warts-and-all biography. The way I figured it, he was five years away from being Liberal leader and eight from being prime minister so a book could introduce him to voters without sugarcoating. He listened politely before shrugging off the idea, saying he'd never be prime minister. He had too many secrets. That quip loomed large this week with the three-pack of images showing a younger Justin wearing brown and blackface in various costumes. It makes you wonder if he was referring to those damning photos tucked away in yearbooks somewhere waiting to detonate at the most inopportune time. If so, it says a lot that an MP eyeing the nation’s top office was hoping his images as a racist would stay buried in time. Trudeau now insists it was mortified embarrassment at his behavior as a 29-year-old teacher which kept him from disclosing it earlier. Maybe so. More likely it was fear for his political future and the current apology tour is more an act of survival than heartfelt contrition. https://election.ctvnews.ca/don-martin-the-knight-in-shining-armour-falls-hard-from-his-high-horse-1.4603095
