  1. there had been two late hits on Nichols prior to that play. I agree the timing of it wasn't exactly perfection, but it did achieve the purpose it was designed to do. Given none of us were in the trenches that night, we don't and never will know what was really going on, but I am willing to give Jemarcus the benefit of the doubt.
  2. fair enough, real fight photos it is...
  3. any Rider fans going? You could do a fake fight photo (or real as the case may be after the booze starts flowing). A buddy of mine who is a big Habs fan had a photo taken like that at his wedding with his Bruin fan buds, and his Bruin fan wife. Kind of silly but they loved it.
  4. I did click the link, not sure what I am doing wrong.
  5. Is there a South Eastern Manitoba one? Niverville...Steinbach...Landmark?
  6. Were Boots and the Ginger sitting next to you guys too?
  7. so Goltz takes a knee with time on the clock in regulation and we go into overtime. Edmonton scores on their first possession. We get the ball at the 35. On TV, you can clearly hear a fan yelling "Take a knee!!" Funny stuff.
  8. So a whole pile of people decided to get paid today huh? Lazy asses. Something happens and then you show up right? OK!
  9. I don't remember that - I do remember him taking a knee in a tie ball game with time left on the clock. That one had me baffled.
  10. Young and his mother settled into the working-class area of Fort Rouge, Winnipeg, where the shy, dry-humoured youth enrolled at Earl Grey Junior High School. It was there that he formed his first band, the Jades, and met Ken Koblun. While attending Kelvin High School in Winnipeg, he played in several instrumental rock bands, eventually dropping out of school in favour of a musical career.[31] Young's first stable band was the Squires, with Ken Koblun, Jeff Wuckert and Bill Edmondson on drums, who had a local hit called "The Sultan". The band played in Fort William (now part of the city of Thunder Bay, Ontario), where they recorded a series of demos produced by a local producer, Ray Dee, who Young called "the original Briggs".[32] While playing at The Flamingo, Young met Stephen Stills, whose band the Company were playing the same venue, and they became friends.[33] The Squires played in several dance halls and clubs in Winnipeg and Ontario.[34]
  11. is that what my scout-master was doing...
  12. yeah - he actually was the musician at her prom that year. How many people can say they had Neil Young play their prom?
  13. He went to Kelvin with my mom.
  14. I realize Neil Young is not a band, but would he be the most famous of any musician to have come from the Peg? Just curious...
  15. Because Hardrick is supposed to know that the play is going to result in a TD.
  16. I'd like to see Brock Ralph get signed to a one-game contract so that he can "retire as a Bomber", and then have him actually play and run 20 jet sweeps.
  17. and it worked like a charm - the cheap stuff ended after that. The only reason Nichols went out was because our own guy brained him.
  18. I don't know how to make a pointer and point it at the "Free Space", but that's what I am going for here.
