I just hope no one on the Winnipeg O-line gets mad this week and takes a penalty.

ha ha Kindly Cal coached some of the toughest hombres that ever served in the Bomber trenches. He'd be super-stoked I am sure about Hardrick's hit, but would still make him pay $.25 for his cup of Gatorade.

2019 CFL Season: Around the League

ha ha I was told to prepare to be treated with hostility when I was in Quebec in 2017 for a holiday, but found everyone to be really friendly. Can't say a bad word about my experience, everything was pretty awesome. Other than they were speaking some weird language I'd never heard before... True story - I struck up a conversation with an American lady in Quebec City while waiting for a bus. Half-way through she asked me what part of the US I was from, and I told her I was actually from Canada. She couldn't believe it! "Your English, you speak it so well!" That's the extent of the knowledge most Americans have of us. We are all poutine-eating Pepe Lepeau speaking lumberjacks. -

That's been their policy since 1776. It is what it is. Personally doesn't bother me much. There's a big world out there. -

having been to several NFL games, I have to say the pacing of the CFL is so much more entertaining. The NFL games have these long periods between plays, which is just so freaking boring. -
just wanted to say, growing up I was a big fan of Pete Catan. I'd be curious to know what he would have thought of Hardrick's actions. I doubt he'd be as judgey as you.

there had been two late hits on Nichols prior to that play. I agree the timing of it wasn't exactly perfection, but it did achieve the purpose it was designed to do. Given none of us were in the trenches that night, we don't and never will know what was really going on, but I am willing to give Jemarcus the benefit of the doubt.

fair enough, real fight photos it is...

any Rider fans going? You could do a fake fight photo (or real as the case may be after the booze starts flowing). A buddy of mine who is a big Habs fan had a photo taken like that at his wedding with his Bruin fan buds, and his Bruin fan wife. Kind of silly but they loved it.

What about Al Simmons? -
Were Boots and the Ginger sitting next to you guys too?

so Goltz takes a knee with time on the clock in regulation and we go into overtime. Edmonton scores on their first possession. We get the ball at the 35. On TV, you can clearly hear a fan yelling "Take a knee!!" Funny stuff.

So a whole pile of people decided to get paid today huh? Lazy asses. Something happens and then you show up right? OK! -
I don't remember that - I do remember him taking a knee in a tie ball game with time left on the clock. That one had me baffled.

Young and his mother settled into the working-class area of Fort Rouge, Winnipeg, where the shy, dry-humoured youth enrolled at Earl Grey Junior High School. It was there that he formed his first band, the Jades, and met Ken Koblun. While attending Kelvin High School in Winnipeg, he played in several instrumental rock bands, eventually dropping out of school in favour of a musical career.[31] Young's first stable band was the Squires, with Ken Koblun, Jeff Wuckert and Bill Edmondson on drums, who had a local hit called "The Sultan". The band played in Fort William (now part of the city of Thunder Bay, Ontario), where they recorded a series of demos produced by a local producer, Ray Dee, who Young called "the original Briggs".[32] While playing at The Flamingo, Young met Stephen Stills, whose band the Company were playing the same venue, and they became friends.[33] The Squires played in several dance halls and clubs in Winnipeg and Ontario.[34] -
