  1. what are the Democrats principles and morals exactly? Maybe they should focus on that instead of mud slinging, as that strategy isn't working. Last night on SNL Colin Jost said that he blamed Dems like Corey Booker partly for Kavanaugh being confirmed, because the Dems called him "evil" right out of the gate, and had no where else to go after that. Interesting thought.
  2. one game - only one game...but yeah liked what I saw out there. What were the lines again?
  3. the only options are the Senators, Canadiens or Leafs. There are no "cross-overs" in the NHL.
  4. I am hoping for a Leafs-Jets final. And sticking that up Bettman's butt.
  5. The only cure is more cowbell.
  6. I went through the same choice Mark. Didn't see why anyone would want to farm, after having spent my teen years on a tractor. Your take home pay worked out to about $.15 an hour...
  7. Usually when there is a Liberal government federally, the provinces go Conservative, and vice versa. Gerald Butts is going to be our PM for a long time, I am afraid.
  8. Doughnuts. The new heart-smart snack. Book it.
  9. I hear the toilets in his Timmy's franchises are always glistening.
  10. I think that you nailed it Mark.
  11. I prefer the term "seasoned fans"...
  12. Not a lot of faith? This is a 45 year Bomber fan you are talking to here. I would have gone insane by now without some form of faith. Our offence scares me. If our D can turn in that kind of effort every game then I think our only hope is to pull off a Tom Burgess type Grey Cup win like in 1990. Great D, and an O that doesn't do much, but also doesn't make mistakes and cost us games.
  13. This is what I heard about the Vegas Golden Knights all last year. I honestly think the Riders are pretty good and will hard to beat. They may give the Stamps a run in the playoffs.
  14. Stubler on the side lines always looks like he's two minutes away from a massive coronary.
  15. so with three NI at WR can we put another import on the O Line?
  16. HH from me to Peterman. What an effort! Took three Eskimos to take him down. Matt said before the game that Peterman reminded him of Rick House. House and Poplawski together again!
  17. Same thing for Dustin Penner.
  18. Agree 100%. The biggest mistake Hillary's campaign made was assuming that Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan were in the bag, and not bothering to campaign in those states.
  19. Lol Avenatti
  20. Trump saying that he is going to tax auto production coming out of Canada.
  21. It's amazing how both Fox and MSNBC can find lunatics to support their points about the intelligence or lack thereof on either side of the spectrum. MSNBC runs something about a Trump supporter that says groping is ok, and tonight Tucker Carlson will have a Democrat who supports 100% taxation. It never ends.
  22. ok - I want to believe you for sure. It's just so polarized. I was just on a cruise ship for 9 days and the only US channels we had were Fox News and MSNBC. Flicking between the two, it was amazing to see the spin both were putting on the same issue. Trump was either the greatest president who ever lived, or Hitler, Pol Pot and Mao all rolled up into one. There just doesn't seem to be any middle ground any more. Each side thinks the other is stupid, ignorant etc. and I don't see that changing. And that's sad to me.
  23. So I've posed this question to others on other forums when they dismiss the people who are probably going to re-elect Trump in two years, as "ignorant". Do you honestly feel that it's only ignorance that is driving this? Is there no other reason? WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Forty-five percent of Americans now have a favorable view of the Republican Party, a nine-point gain from last September's 36%. It is the party's most positive image since it registered 47% in January 2011, shortly after taking control of the House in the 2010 midterm elections. Forty-four percent give the Democratic Party a favorable rating. https://news.gallup.com/poll/242906/republican-party-favorability-highest-seven-years.aspx
  24. yes, it may be partisan drivel, but if over 60 million Americans (probably more) feel that same way, how do you change their minds?
